Its probably my age showing, but half the time now when I see the Mclaren I half see a camel on the front
Old habits die hard.

Which Renault livery was your favourite Jim?

I think possibly 1985 with the white stripes on the front and rear wings

Ditto. Those pinstripes are absolutely bad-donkey. There something about it, along with the digital-looking driver numbers that gives the car a whole 80's postmodern look.

In celebration of Fernando's triumph at Le Mans, here's a video on a team he never had any association with.

IMO the first prototype and 2009 car were the best looking

Gotta agree with you there, Jim. Loved that '01 test livery.

Sadly I doubt we'll see Toyota back any time soon, or any new works teams like Merc, Ferrari or Renault. The RB/Honda partnership may be matched by another manufacturer in time, but I can't see who else really wants to join the grid. Right now FE is far more appealing than F1 to major manufacturers, and hypercar builders lack the resources (and desire) to join the grid.
Having said that, I'm surprised Toyota haven't joined FE as yet, although I don't believe Honda has either.

May do a binge watch of these later.
Out of idle curiosity, have any teams ever tried to use go faster stripes, and actually seen a result? I'd love to see an example of them working

Thanks mate. I personally enjoyed covering Minardi, and am kinda glad Red Bull didn't retain the Minardi name when they took over the team. Would have been sad to see Minardi become a Red Bull feeder team.

I had fun doing Sauber. Always liked that team and I think the video came out well.
I have ha requests ranging from BRM to Larrousse, but believe it or not, you're the first to request RBR Jim. I may just pump out a video on them soon!

That 7up 191 is still one of the best looking cars anyone has fielded since the addition of wings and sidepods to F1 cars.
