So what seems like the never ending saga for mercedes.

Who was at fault.

Lewis or nico.

I dont believe there is a braking issue and thats to protect rosberg from his impending penalty. It just looks like he tried to take Hamilton out as he didnt turn into remus.

Thought's

Pretty obvious by Rosberg... I'm no fan of either. But this was totally Rosberg's fault. He hammed it up (pardon the pun) too much. Much like Schumacher at Jerez.

I'm no fan of either of them. I was actually hoping that Nico wins the championship for a change this year so rooting slightly more for him than Lewis this season.

But this incident is Nico's fault. He's saying he had the racing line. That's not a racing line. You can't just drive straight instead of turning and expect others to adjust because that's your line. Don't believe in the breaks fault either. Nico saw he was losing it so he tried to push Lewis out. But Lewis is not a driver that gets pushed out at this point of the race and championship so it ended like it did. And the guy at fault lost more in effect so for me there's no need for penalties etc. Karma took care of it ;)

Nico for the initial contact.
Lewis for the way he came back on the track.

Overall the incident was caused by Nico but Hamilton couldn't let his buddy steal all the headlines.

Can the people who vote Hamilton please let me let me know who they are so I can safely disregard anything they say in future. That's nuts.

Oh deer voted Lewis by mistake. Sorry. Obviously Rosbergs fault IMO.

I think it is safer if I refrain from voting for now. :D

(I have just taken another look at the accident, and measured the distance between Rosberg's car and the outside of the track, at the moment the outside car drives over the inside car's wing...)

This one seems pretty clear cut.

Rosbergs fault without a doubt.

The only out for him would be if he was suffering from a sudden mechanical malfunction but otherwise, pretty inept and amateurish driving from Rosberg.

Diabolical move by Rosberg. Brings back memories of Schumacher and some of his moves.

Nico needs to admit he stuffed up , and quit with the dumb comments like "I was on the inside so I dictated the line".

Like I said, last time I saw arrogance and poor driving of this level was when his countryman used to drive

It was definitely Hamilton's fault. He was too fast and Rosberg got anxious. If Ham was a slower racing driver, this never would have happened!

Pardon me if I am wrong in my assumption, though would I assume you are apportioning blame to Hamilton ?

Some drivers have done what Nico did but the other driver avoided collision. Anyway, it wasn't Hamilton's fault. Just that it could have been zero points for Mercedes so the two of them need to have a team talk.

Pretty easy.... i'm awaiting the noise that Rosberg at the point of contact had still left a cars width on the outside despite making no attempt to make the corner in any legitimate form.

Nico just made his car as wide as possible. Certainly not something drivers have not done before. U need some cooperation when u make that sort of move.

Same incident. 0:30 onwards. Just that Montoya braked much later.

no one is at fault. an incident that happens quite often. Defending drivers making their cars as wide as possible.

The only fault here is within the team to sort out. Cos it could have been zero points.

That wasn't the same. Montoya braked late and attempted the corner.

You seriously think a bunch of penguins would offer as many as 23% of the votes for Hamilton? You cannot be serious. Definitely homo sapiens posting on this poll - don't fear.

Did you see the onboard?
Nico didn't turn the steering wheel at all until after he had past the start of the corner, then he went half lock and only really turned the wheel after he and Ham had made contact.
There is making your car as wide as possible, and then there is a deliberate causing of a driver to have to run off track to avoid an accident.
I will not be surprised to see Rosberg penalised and lose his 4th place.

Generally they make some attempt to make the corner though.

Llamas for sure. They are the biggest trolls in the animal kingdom (apart from homo sapiens). :o

You used to be a voice of reason on this forum Fiki. The past two years that has changed dramatically.

I did not watch many replays but it already looks Rosberg fault and he paid for it. It was a desperate move, might cost him the title.

No argument here. Your passionate advocation of adherence to the etiquette of racing was always a highlight because the drivers in question never seemed to matter... recently, more than ever, it seems that even you have been tainted by the blight of the forum.

I believe you may have missed my first sentence. However, yours and Flash's posts (among others) show why I added the smiley. The moment you try to look at an incident with regard to all the applicable rules, some people will condemn you. I would love to keep racing etiquette in mind, but how does one do that, when there is no official F1/general motorsport etiquette to be found for us to study? Rosberg and Hamilton haven't invented dirty racing, but it does indeed pay to remember the past two years.

I still haven't voted. I find what the stewards will find more interesting than a vote from us.
