Re: Official Le Mans 2016 Thread
Watching the race while working on the WEC app, man I love this race. Shaping up to be an epic battle between Ford & Ferrari in GT. Not a fan of Toyota, but it would be nice to see them finally win the big one, since Porsche & Audi can't seem to get it together.
I must say it was strange seeing Brad Pitt wave the Tri-Color at the start.
On the WEC app, they worked out that if Hulkenburg really wanted to, he could do both, with the aid of a private jet, kind of like doing Indy 500 and Charlotte 600 on the same day.

Had to turn over to watch the start of the F1 race. Cannot believe that happened. Cruel, cruel, luck.
Not surprised there's a few tears in the garage....

What the hell just happened? Did Toyota have a mechanical failure?
Re: Official Le Mans 2016 Thread
Toyota lost power and could only drive using batteries.Ruste13 wrote:What the hell just happened? Did Toyota have a mechanical failure?

Gutting

Just read about the end. Crazy. Unlucky for the Toyota guys, that really does sound brutal.

What is the point of the rule where you have to take the chequered flat? Its not like F1, where it goes by laps completed?
Re: Official Le Mans 2016 Thread
I would say that it is to make sure you have competed for 24 hours.lamo wrote:What is the point of the rule where you have to take the chequered flat? Its not like F1, where it goes by laps completed?
Use every man after his desert, and who should scape whipping? Use them after your own honour and dignity.

Exactly. There's no fun in a team running at crazy speeds and breaking down but still winning the race.Fiki wrote:I would say that it is to make sure you have competed for 24 hours.lamo wrote:What is the point of the rule where you have to take the chequered flat? To finish first, first you have to finish.
Simple rule really.
