Watching the race while working on the WEC app, man I love this race. Shaping up to be an epic battle between Ford & Ferrari in GT. Not a fan of Toyota, but it would be nice to see them finally win the big one, since Porsche & Audi can't seem to get it together.
I must say it was strange seeing Brad Pitt wave the Tri-Color at the start.
On the WEC app, they worked out that if Hulkenburg really wanted to, he could do both, with the aid of a private jet, kind of like doing Indy 500 and Charlotte 600 on the same day.

At least then he'd have an excuse for qualifying so poorly!

Had to turn over to watch the start of the F1 race. Cannot believe that happened. Cruel, cruel, luck.

Not surprised there's a few tears in the garage....

What the hell just happened? Did Toyota have a mechanical failure?

Toyota lost power and could only drive using batteries.

Just read about the end. Crazy. Unlucky for the Toyota guys, that really does sound brutal.

What is the point of the rule where you have to take the chequered flat? Its not like F1, where it goes by laps completed?

I would say that it is to make sure you have competed for 24 hours.

Exactly. There's no fun in a team running at crazy speeds and breaking down but still winning the race.

To finish first, first you have to finish.

Simple rule really.
