In other words, make your first post more then 90 minutes before race start. After that I will be watching the race, and won't be checking into here at all. Since I am the only mod with access to the admin panel [albeit limited], once I leave for the race, you will have to wait for mods to approve your posts and I can't promise many of the team online then.

How long approval takes depends when mods are online. You stop needing approval in a few minutes when I remove you from that list.

There's no set timescale/post count, it's just when I get time to go through a list full of banned spammers to find all the members who are actually human. I'll do a sweep this evening.

Any new members who have posted prior to now should be able to bypass the post approval software.

Hi, I am in a similar situation that RealPhilBrown was in. I joined yesterday, but cannot start a new thread. Why is this?

The reason is that your name hasn't yet been taken off the list. We don't remove you once you sign up, we remove you once you post. If we just approved every new member, we'd end up approving spammers as well.

Unfortunately, until we approve your account the forum won't let you start new threads.

I'm still having issues with my posts needing approval even though I've made a couple of posts already.

I'm overdue going over the list, I know. I'll clear it out this evening, I'm afraid I don't have time at the moment.

All accounts which have posted prior to now should be able to post without moderator approval.

All members who have posted up to this point should have now bypassed the post approval software.

Hi, I'm Marc. Currently working on rebuilding http://f1.wikia.com (F1 Wiki). I'd like to ask if you would mind me posting on this forum to try to attract new editors? The wiki isn't in great shape at the moment and I could do with some help from people who know what they're writing about. Unfortunately I can't post at the moment as a result of me being a newly signed-up user. Please can you let me know what you think?

Please be aware that I will be away from the forum a lot over the summer months due to offline commitments. I will be around when I can to activate and derestrict accounts, but I may have to hand overaccess to this account to other mods so as to maintain moderator access the the admin panel. This may result in delays in requests and accounts being processed, but we will do our best.
