Honestly the bit with Ted and Martin now was so scripted it was cringeworthy. Ted tried to make a joke and Martin just shrugged it off to get back to his script. He seems a bit uptight all round to be honest, he seemed much more relaxed on the bbc with his mate DC. Damon and Davidson are being criminally underused too.
Ahh its early days, I'm sure a lot of it was probably nervs.

As for the lip sync, never had it here either (VM Tivo)

Interactive looks like an amazing feature. Be good if you can ride with your favourite driver for the starts. Will make it even more intense. Great stuff from sky. People can whine but the coverage is a lot of f1 fans dream

Its got off to a great start IMO. Really enjoying it so far..

There are allways going to be small teething problems when starting a new channel on which millions are watching, which the critics are going to love. The majority of these people have never worked together so they need time to 'gell' with each other.. and thats all on top of the stress that infact this is a dedicated F1 channel.. & i do believe F1 fans are the fussiest of them all, we love our attention to detail!

Anyone who missed the F1 Show on Friday and don't have Sky (like me), don't worry.

It is repeated on Freeview Channel 11 (Pick TV) tonight at 11pm. Ted Kravitz tweeted this earlier.

Yeah most likely there won't be Clive James reviews, unfortunately. I'd love to see them in better quality too.

Having said that, FOCA reviews from 84-87 period are really good, each of them is 1h-1.5h long per race.

Apologises for time mix-up, F1 Show is at 10pm tonight on Pick TV.

Before that on the same channel, there is a show about the British Grand Prix in the 1990s at 9pm with Nigel Mansell, Damon Hill and Murray Walker.

Is that the time of our lives program? Watched that last night, it was really good.

They're playing the FIA 1991 Season Review atm, it had the FIA jingle at the beginning.

Well, again, it's not the official review, but rather cut-down version, it's missing a lot of footage from Official FIA 1991 Season Review. :(

Does anyone else find Natalie Pinkham utterly annoying?

Just watching the F1 show. Schumacher couldn't wait to get away from her, and the way she knelt down to Perez and spoke to him like he was 5 - cringeworthy.

Liking the channel generally but she isn't a patch on Lee McKenzie

No idea if anyone has mentioned this but I stumbled upon the tail end of an interesting program on Renault TV (free to air) about their involvement in F1 as an engine supplier. Does anyone know if it's worth keeping an eye out for other F1 related programs on Renault TV? I never knew it existed.

BBC have a documentary about Gordon Murray coming up soon - unfortunately no firm date yet (was supposed to be next weekend)
Now this is why we pay our licence fees. BBC4 has shot an hour-long documentary on Gordon Murray which intersperses his extraordinary 40-year history designing some of the greatest-ever road and race cars with the story of his current mission to turn the car world on its head – again – with his radical T25 city car and the i-Stream factories that will build it.

The film has been made by Mark Stewart Productions: Mark is Jackie’s son, and from the moment an early ‘70s Gordon Murray-era Brabham F1 car bursts sideways through a corner, you know you’re in the hands of editors who understand cars. As we saw with Senna, the period F1 footage is sensational and Ron Howard is going to have to work hard to better it in Rush, his forthcoming film about the Hunt-Lauda rivalry in the same era.

Here it helps to balance the rather less exciting footage of modern Murray trundling around airfields in odd-looking prototypes of his new car, but cutting back and forth between F1 and T25 makes the point that Murray is bringing the same utterly unfettered thinking to this little road car as he did to his race cars.

.....

How to Go Faster and Influence People: the Gordon Murray Story will be shown on BBC4 (was scheduled for Easter Sunday - exact broadcast date tbc)
