Re: Budget Cap Breach Rumours

So let's say it's confirmed they breach £1.5m over and their appeal is rejected blah blah - what punishment would you dish out? I don't know, it's hard to come up with a penalty for something that's brand new. I would set it up one of two ways. I'd either create dollar ranges ($0-$1.5M, $1.5-$3M, e...

Re: Hamilton vs Verstappen

Wasn't 2019 the year Ferrari had the super cheating engine and started getting poles and winning races, Hamilton would have lost a number of race wins due to this factor. Also I don't know how much it happened but it did in 2015 when Hamilton has the title wrapped up he loses his cutting edge, he br...

Re: Budget Cap Breach Rumours

Teams would take reducing prize money as punishment all the time to win drivers championships. Penalties really should have been set out before the cost cap started.

Re: Budget Cap Breach Rumours

The problem is the breach was in 21 and found out at the end of 22 which by that time RB have picked up 2 drivers championships. It's likely RB have the best car in 23 too so the majority or penalties coming to RB are worth the breach and they are laughing tbh.

Max will win the title in 23 and most likely the next 2 years after that. Then I'm sure there's regulation changes but I still went for 8. Simply as Max will finish on 8 and Lewis on 7 just to bring up AD21 again.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/formula1/63256734 Zak Brown writing to the FIA and sent a copy to the teams who had not committed any cost cap offences. I looked back and have it 10-6 to RB with France being equal but I'm sure Verstappen walks it if you could overtake. Also nothing for Britian but I'm sure Verstappen wins that too but we will never know.

Expect it will end 14-6

Re: Budget Cap Breach Rumours

I have a very hard time to believe that a team as sharp, as competitive, and as efficient as Red Bull stumbles unintended through some innocent miscalculations into a breach of the budget cap. They know damn well what they are doing. Abso-freakin-lutely!!! I've got to say I'm not shocked at how man...

Re: Budget Cap Breach Rumours

Disappointing to see Redbull break the cap. Would like to see in what area and how - as this is an important element. If the overspent is in car development that is very different from if it’s replacing broken parts, paying employees salary, what about inflation, what about exchange rates (I’m not ...

Re: Budget Cap Breach Rumours

The penalty needs to be big because it benefitted RB in 21, in 22 and now they have the fastest car by quite a bit and it also helps for 23. Any small penalty with the advantage RB have gained has been well worth it for them.

I don't know why you can't change the start time by an hour earlier, everyone is at the track anyway. But F1 needs to sort out how it deals with wet races, they use to be brilliant but now it's just a running joke with fans.

I am going to take his word for this. How could FIA allow a gray area for funding, I know teams push the limit on technical regulations, but financial regs should be clear surely? No way. FIA will issue a clarification that "... must not spent more money than ..." actually means that you are not allowed to spend more than ... after RB argues that it was unclear/ambiguous that "must" actually means "must" and not "should" or "could" or "might". Or that "prohibit to spend more...

One positive about the leak is that it will be less easy to brush it under the carpet. You have to question, if those who leaked the info suspected any wrong doing would not make it into public domain. This is what fans would like to think but it's the complete opposite. I have no trust in the FIA ...

Does anyone seriously believe that it would not have been a 10 s. penalty if Perez was 11 or more seconds ahead ...
