Re: Which tracks would be the most fun run backwards?
But given the speed of an F1 car in reverse, would not all the tracks be a little boring? Or given how badly an F1 car handles in reverse would be fun anyway? I like your alternative version of the universe. The crowd would be facing the wrong way and the race would start with a chequered flag. The...

1.) No specific requirement on use of tires. For example - give teams 2 sets of softs and 2 sets of mediums for race day. Let teams use them any way they see fit. If a team can run the entire race on one set, so be it. 2.) No DRS. 3.) No penalties for mechanical failures of engines or transmissions....

When Alonso stopped today due to the ERS failing, it reminded me of Canada and how the Mercedes were still running, albeit at a much reduced pace, without the ERS system working. So why couldn't Ferrari do the same? It would be seriously down on power but I do not understand why they had to stop. A...

I predict that McLaren will sneak their 2004-spec cars onto the grid without any of the scrutineers noticing. The two cars take pole with an 8 second/lap advantage over Mercedes trailing in third. Merc drama overshadows Ricciardo's race
Daniel drove a great race in an underdog car. The Renault engine is down by some 30-50 HP (???) or whatever it is and he still managed to hold off the more powerful Mercedes-powered cars. As the trailing car, with the superior vantage point. Rosberg has the responsibility to execute a clean pass. While I'm not in favor of this, it's small potatoes compared to other F1 neutering over the last several years. Much worse decisions, in my opinion, include the following: - Grooved racing "slicks" - Death of the V10 - End of refueling - The 2005 year rule of one set of tires per race - DRS - Too ma...

F1 isn't supposed to be pure entertainment though. At its core, F1 is just entertainment, just like any other sport, including the Olympics. Any value we place on the competition aspect is purely derived and meaningless. That's not to say that it's wrong to enjoy it. But really, F1 is pretty much m...
