Re: Who do you want to win the title, who deserves the title

The only one who deserves the title is the one who accumulates the most points, just like almost every other sport. I would pretty much agree with this with the 1 exception being if either ROS or HAM won it by benefit of the stupid double points rule. As much as I hate the double-points rule, every...

Max said: "The teen prodigy recently compared himself Fernando Alonso, considered by many to be the most complete driver of the current grid." Confidence is a good thing, but so is being humble. Re: What will be the next superfluous rule or regulation in

I actually feel sorry for Pirelli, they've come in and done exactly what was asked of them at the expense of their reputation. I certainly wouldn't buy Pirelli tyres for my car based on my impression of them as a result of their F1 years. Good point. I have never faulted Pirelli for the tires they ...

It's bound to happen. Today, we have tires designed to wear out as their prime design criteria, rather than them being designed to perform well (like every other form of motorsports). We have DRS. I'm sure everyone has their opinion on it. My opinion is that it never should have happened. We've hea...

As Case1906 said, you can't plan for a safety car (except for Singapore 2008 :uhoh: ). Looking back, sure, Merc could have put Hammer on softs, but they were obviously sticking to their planned strategy.

Did Merc mechanics sabotage Nico's car?

Nico's wiring loom had a premature failure according to reports, causing him many electrical gremlins in Singapore. Wiring is typically more durable than this, and we rarely hear of reliability problems related directly to wiring. http://www.planetf1.com/driver/18227/9483337/Broken-wiring-loom-behin...

Neat list. What a micro-managing waste of effort. When the FIA screws up royally and wrongly penalizes a star driver, like Alonso, because the FIA interpreted a benign message one way but the team insists they intended something else, then everyone's gonna come back here crying about the clampdown. ...

I don't like this ban. What is wrong with coaching? Almost every other sport has it. Even a golfer can consult with his caddy. Why did they choose a 1.6L turbo? That's a very loaded question. Here are a few reasons.... They wanted a slower car with engines that cost ~10 times more to produce, and that take much much longer to repair. Or they wanted the race car to more closely emulate a small percentage of current road car...
