Re: FEEDBACK THREAD
As a general rule, if you have a problem with a specific member you should PM a mod about your concerns, so you can privately discuss the issue. Obviously mention the member and link to examples of the disagreement.

So long as they don't break the forum rules on videos I don't see why not. I'd probably suggest that they should be videos from Facebook pages rather than personal accounts. Also, make sure they aren't Facebook videos that are lifted from YouTube (or other sources) as a lot of that goes on with Face...

Re: Official Australian Grand Prix Free Practice Thread!!!
Just a note, as well as the inappropriate comments which have now been removed, this thread is to discuss Free Practice, not the Sauber situation. PF1-Mod already mentioned that once already - there is a thread for the Sauber situation, please discuss it there.

This is getting out of hand. Discuss the thread's topic without the wild speculation and irrelevant detail or the thread will have to be locked.
Note - this does not apply to everyone who has been posting of late. I'm sure it's obvious the posts I am referring to.

Re: FEEDBACK THREAD
I can't speak for the rest of the mods, however I don't believe that the OP 'owns' a thread. By all means, report a thread if it is breaking the rules, or has gone wildly off topic. However, a thread gradually evolving is not the same as a hijack. A forum is not a blog. It's not a place to post some...

There's no escaping the fact that she is a high achiever in other classes of motor sport. But how many other drivers of her age, experience and record are testing cars in this class? I'm not questioning your impartiality. It's more a case of expecting Mods to simply moderate, nothing more. I assume you all have separate logins as 'yourself' and therefore that's how you'd comment about particular points of view that are not of a moderating nature. I moderated this forum for many...

All the mods are volunteers from the forum, and we all try to moderate impartially without bias. Top Gear is a scripted entertainment show, it's not real life. As we stated from the start, it's a trial to see how it works out. If it doesn't work out then we'll either scrap it, or introduce changes. Ultimately, we'll do what works best. People use things in different ways, so there is never a perfect one size fits all solution. While it's fair to say at the...

I think we could probably make a special case for the "Driver of the Day" poll going in the main forum, as that is a staple thread of the forum.
We are taking on board people's feedback on this issue, but I would still ask people to be patient and run with it for the time being.

It should be pointed out that there were other reasons for the poll subforum being introduced.
