Re: Ferrari Losing Out on Perez
Does anyone else suspect that this was Alonso's choice - or at least an open reference to the idea that Alonso has a No#1 status enshrined in his contract which Perez was unlikely to pay much heed to? It's bullshit like this that kinda wants me to believe Vettel has been signed at Ferrari for 2014....

Re: Insight: Pérez threat too much for Alonso...
That is right approach for Alonso to take. After being beaten by a rookie before, he can not risk to be beaten by another, not exactly a rookie, but a novice driver. im assuming the rookie you mentioned is Lewis? didn't they have the same exact points? Alonso was only behind via count-back. They di...

Re: Best car hidden due to drivers
I think Hindsight has shown that the 2007 and 2008 Ferraris were probably a bit more superior to the Mclarens than we thought at the time because LH and FA are both better than Massa and Raikkonens was pretty much matched by Massa over those 2 years. It's true, these Ferraris were rockets, maybe no...

Nonsense Alonso made plenty of mistakes, he was the same age as Lewis 2007, and he was the main factor at cositng his team both titles , blackmailed his TP, and played a role in Spy gate. He was not great at Renault when things did not go his way " My team does not support me" etc Give him a compet...

They all played politics, they all pulled bullshit, but Fernando hasn't, and probably won't hit a rival to gain an advantage Nope, he'll just require his teammate to either mysteriously crash or let him by. Yes, but he never gets involved with his team mate on track. Its stupid to do so anyway. In ...

Isn't Formula 1 a team effort, you win and loose as a team? Is it only drivers who are allowed to make mistakes when learning and adopting to new circumstances? Misfortunes normally equals out as time passes by, but achievements are much more interesting IMO. Safety cars, punctures, slipping wheel b...

I look forward to your dozen or so other threads raising the question of why (insert top driver's name here) blames other people for his mistakes. It's a common trait amongst F1 drivers - when something goes wrong, it's anyone's fault but their own. +1 And everybody that didn't win had a problem wi...

While we have this thread can we establish exactly what happened? There are so many secrets and assumptions about this, and there is automatic denial from some quarters and vindictive bull from others. What I know extends this far: 1. Coughlan and Stepney plan to make a move to Honda and begin coll...

Depends on how you define "fine". They will not shutter their doors or lay off half their employees. But after Senna left, they didn't win a championship for 5 years. After Hakkinen left, no championship for 8 years. If Lewis leaves, there is no one of his calibre avialable as a replacement. Jenson...

Too the OP Probably the Myth that Lewis cant handle his tyres or has an agressive racing style. It's been said numerous times that Jenson is the tyre masster but yet this year we see that Lewis is much better that his teammate at it. Just look at Catalunya where he started from 24th on the grid too...

The problem with the McLaren drivers IMO is that they have different driving and therefore needs different cars to be at their best, this year the McLaren suits Lewis, bad for Jenson.
