Re: Mercedes vs Red Bull - 2021

If you believe this part, you will be very confident that if hey were to swap cars and run the same races the result would be the same(since the cars are equal, I heard) . Would you bet on that? Look at the races where Hamilton failed to finish top 2: Monaco - Bottas was in second place until the p...

Re: Mercedes vs Red Bull - 2021

My view has not changed one bit. Overrated in the sense that he is viewed as better than what he really is. I have seen nothing to suggest THIS Verstappen with THIS car is any better than the ROOKIE Hamilton. And so far this season I have seen nothing to suggest that a far more experienced Hamilton...

I give qualifying to Red Bull and the race for Mercedes, it was going to be a comfortable win for Hamilton but James Vowles threw the race, so:- Red Bull 8 - 6 Mercedes So far Max has been the better driver but not today, that was a clear mistake by Max that should have cost him the race, today Ham...

Re: Mercedes vs Red Bull - 2021

The only thing I see is people falling over themselves to see it happen. Had HAM made the mistakeVER did at T1 people would say he is old and has lost it. I denied it as recently as 2020. Some changed their minds half way through 2019. If anything I am even more impressed by how HAM is driving this...

Re: Mercedes vs Red Bull - 2021

Without the T1 mistake from VER it would have been a very boring race. Were you not watching the race at the start of the second stint? Verstappen was being hounded by both Mercedes who chewed their tyres in the process. How can Mercedes be the better car if VER and PER are 1 - 3 whilst HAM and BOT...

Re: Who is the fastest driver in F1 right now?

- HAM has scored 6( SIX ) pole positions in his 1st year alone as a ROOKIE, driving alongside the reigning 2xWDC Hamilton's battle with Alonso was affected by qualifying fuel loads so it's hard to distill the true qualifying battle from that. The strongest evidence for Hamilton's speed is this from...

I don't have time for A>B then B>C stuff but I am 1000% sure than HAM or LEC or the best VET would have scored more poles than VER driving he same car he has had untill now. It's shocking VER doesn't have more pole positions but yet he is seen by many as the fastest driver. - HAM has scored 6( SIX )...

All I recall is Hamilton's onboard and Leclerc weaving from side to side making it difficult for him to pass, did they not both pass Leclerc down the long straight? It is funny nobody ever mention the competitivity of RB cars because they look at VER's teammates who can not drive his set ups apparently. It is like the repeat of ALO's career. Exactly like Alonso's career. The 'teammate unable to drive his setup' excuse is trotted out whenever people want to dis...

Just quickly watched his view on the Hamilton incident. As you can see, he jokes about Hamilton pushing him off the road on T1 at Austin. This is the dominant feature of the Hamilton vs Rosberg era. Rosberg outlines after, that Hamilton could always find that 'grey' area between getting a penalty a...

If Lewis and Max ever end up constantly going at it I can see it either being some of the best wheel to wheel stuff of all time or just constantly ending in large repair bills. Neither of them will give an inch and both clearly like leaving a wheel in just to hammer home dominance. It'd be firework...

I think the hiring of Sainz will do more to upset the dynamic at the front of the grid than anything since the retirement of Nico Rosberg or the promotion of Max Verstappen to RBR. I also think that Verstappen extremely rarely lacks pace whereas I think Sainz does more often - especially over a single lap. I think Noris often makes him look bad here. I think Noris has very often been disappointing on race day which is not the case in qualifying. And yes, I personally think that a lot of this year, the Mclaren has been easily the best of the rest. At the end of the race with all the chaos and including Bottas retiring, Gasly and Sainz both gained the same number of positions. Could Sainz's awesome performance this year also down to the McLaren car? Alonso had more points after 10 rounds in the 2018 than Sainz did after 10 rounds this season. That was with a less competitive car.
