Re: Silverstone Practice and Qualifying thread.
Was Vettel holding up a couple of people there? Looks like he was holding them for several corners, namely, Glock (!) and Button. Had heaps of understeer! Vettel hasn't looked good in either of the wet sessions, only managing 59.4's in both. Interesting that Grosjean and Ricciardo who were 1 & 2 in...

Re: What corners would make up the perfect F1 circuit?
Obviously the approaches to the corners have to be similar to the real circuits otherwise the challenge of the corner becomes completely different with differing entry speeds, so with in that in mind it could be a rather long circuit! True! I could try to make one which is to scale and then measure...

Re: Schumi's future to be decided in about 6 weeks.
Heck, he beat Webber to the line and thats pretty darn difficult. Pretty straight forward for an experienced F1 driver I'd say. The lack of straight line speed of the RBR has been demonstrated many times..remember the difficulty Webber had in getting past Caterhams and Torro Rossos...it is not the ...

Re: "everyone can make it to Formula 1"
In the words of James Hunt "Bullshit" Senna like most other F1 drivers always wanted to be in the best car - In 1993 he wanted to drive for Williams so bad he wouldn't even sign a years contract with Mclaren who at that point was the 2nd/3rd best car. And your point is?? Do you realise that Senna's...

yes it is all a bit tedious. Nonetheless, it would give many a chuckle to see Seb throw another tantrum this weekend. Re: FIA tells Vettel to mind his manners
Although being a Vettel fan, I dislike FIA conduct purely for the way it cuts freedom. Common, now they will dictate who is allowed what to say? This restrictions of speech are hurting some basics that are far more important than sport. To me, it is not anymore important is it true or not, what mat...

Webber beat Vettel fair and square here 2 years ago, and it's one of his strongest tracks. He was also told to "hold position" last year when catching him hand over fist.
BUT...I'll go with Hamilton for the win, Alonso 2nd, Webber in 3rd..

Re: Why does Jack Brabham rate so poorly in "All Time Rankin
Brabham was well known for a very aggressive and "brash" style of racing on track. Also, to say he wasn't noted for any stand-out performances is not quite right. He remains the only F1 driver to have pushed his car over the finish line to win the World Championship. It is unfortunate that his feats...

Vergne maybe bit harsh, 5 seems sensible. Just bad driving. I don't think that's harsh at all for Vergne. Does someone know whether his penalty was dished out for the actual collision, or was it for the stupidity which prevailed in the aftermath when he left half his car's floor scattered over the ...
