Mister di Resta and Mercedes

I've seen a lot of talk about a future marriage between Paul di Resta and Mercedes. Can anyone explain to me why di Resta would be preferred at Merc over other very competent drivers? I would include current drivers Kobayashi, Glock, Kovalainen and Ricciardo as drivers who have done better over the ...

Did Webber sign with RBR after his second win in 2010 too? Just wondering if 2 race wins in a season triggers contract negotiations for MW..obviously it didn't happen in 2011, hence the late negotiations.

Re: Webber signed by Redbull for 2013

Good choice Webbo, driving for Ferrari is a dream that can easily turn into a nightmare , whereas with Red Bull he knows who his enemies are and their potential. Is it? It was no nightmare for Ferrari WDCs Schumacher or Raikkonen. It has been no nightmare for Alonso. Massa and Eddie Irvine never wo...

1. Hungary 2010: Will never forget the string of purple sectors that Mark put together in this race. Agreed. I think now that Webber has signed for 2013 with Red Bull there are a few folks who are both disappointed with McLaren and panicking with regards to where Lewis will drive next year.

Supposedly if the top two in the WDC are tied on points and after countback they are still tied, the WDC decision will go to a judging panel. Good luck to Lewis if he ever finds himself in that position! I always thought that this would the fairest way to settle the outcome (after countback). Add u...

Great news for Mark, and fully deserved. He's obviously enjoying his job right now. Bodes well for him for the remainder of the season...he had made it clear in recent weeks that he very much wanted a competitive drive in 2013. Now he's got it he can concentrate on the championship :)

I think if Ferrari got their strategy 100% perfect (which is not possible), Alonso had a chance to win. But ultimately Alonso lost to Webber because the Ferrari just wasn't fast enough. Those two opinions do appear to contradict each other.. Are you saying the Ferrari wasn't fast enough, the strate...

I'm shattered for Ricciardo as he was faster than Alonso through S1 and S2, but held back about 0.5s more in the final sector and missed out on the top 10 But at least tomorrow if he keeps that pace and the visibility allows overtaking, he might have better luck!
