Re: The Official Lewis Hamilton thread

Not a fan of team orders, especially with the run Lewis is having against Vettel, it was unnecessary.

Re: Mercedes flexing rear wing

Tbh nothing can be infinitely rigid, so flexing occurs all over the cars. Have a look at the front wings lowering as cars speed up to 200+mph. Ferrari had nice on boards just behind the front wing in Monza which was very obvious. It's not cheating and as others have mentioned could just be because o...

Re: Generational Turnover in F1

It's just crazy that, with Raikkonen and Alonso retiring after this season, Hamilton and Vettel will literally be the only two drivers in the field who have ever won a WDC! I don't think I can remember a time where there were only two former WDCs in the field. Leclerc is taking the first shot for t...

Re: I am calling it now Hamilton will win WDC 2018

I wouldn't say it is that unlikely. Only bad luck/brain farts has caused Vettel to not win all of the 4 previous races. Actually I'm coming round to agreeing. It's still in Sebs hands, just. If he drives at his best for the last 7 races he probably will be champion.[/quote] But if Lewis drives at h...

Re: Who do you think is lying? Alonso or Red Bull?

Anytime Horner and Marko open their mouth, they sound as honest and trustworthy as Tony Blair talking about mass destruction weapons in Irak, and since a long time. So I tend to believe Alonso. Yup my thoughts also. Plus if rbr management didn't try to secure one of the top drivers... Are they even...

Re: The Official Lewis Hamilton thread

Excellent win by Hamilton if he keeps this up no. 5 could be his! It's not going to be easy though in what is starting to look like a slower car. True, but Lewis just needs a competitive car and a reliable one. Doesn't have to be out and out the fastest anymore. He's won two weekends when really Ve...

Great drive by Lewis this weekend in the slower car. If he can keep this up Vettel and Ferrari will buckle under pressure and hand him the WDC.

Another crash in fp3 with the speed advantage rbr had it could've be an easy 1-2.

I think the pressure to preform had got to him. Just needs to calm down and put together a string of drama free weekends

Verstappen the new crash kid?

Seems every few years the title changes

Used to be Vettel a fee years ago then Grosjean, now Verstappen? Rbr made a big deal about telling him no more mistakes but Verstappen is no longer a rookie, far too many mistakes ruining races atm.

Well it's actually a rule that the driver should put his steering wheel back on when he abandons the car. Yeah I'm tempted to do that too, I guess Nintendo make loads of easy money from selling classic titles as downloads on the wii u/switch and such. As an aerodynamicist, the easiest way to allow cars to follow more closely are:

1. Increase ground effects
2. Reduce upper body aero

I would love to see F1 on an oval. I know some people stick their noses up at ovals as a simplistic thing that's for 'Murica! But I enjoy watching things like the Indy500 when they're on, its a different kettle of fish which I'm sure the teams and drivers would enjoy tackling.
