Re: How do you feel about the Red Bull penalty for breaching the budget cap?
Plus, whilst I know CFD is not quite up to wind tunnel testing, it is mighty powerful and if they can invest more in that with the money saved on less WT time, the loss may not be as much as some are predicting. This is from the FIA report: RBR receives a Minor Sporting Penalty in the form of a lim...

Re: 2022 Ferrari Hypercar
Ferrari haven't announced their drivers yet but they are saying that they will come from witnin their existing GT drivers.
From a purely sentimental perspective, it would be lovely to see Vettel and Kimi driving it.

2022 Ferrari Hypercar
Ferrari has just launched their new hypercar. Le Mans is my motorsport highlight of the year and these coming years should be amazing.

I'll make some changes and do a few test laps of the village. A thought just struck me; you don't think the dog's Safety Car driver is going too slowly, do you? :? If by safety car you mean me, then yes, I probably was going too slowly! I did, yes. Slow SC have been a problem for dog's years... :D ...

So, correct me if my googling is incorrect but I believe these are the big penalties handed out before.
Spygate - $100,000,000
Turkish GP podium issue - $5,000,000
Ferrari swapping places, Austria 2002 - $1,000,000.

Re: Alonso's US GP Penalty - Is it safe to drive with a missing mirror??
Rather he got the penalty. Not a huge fan of racing without a mirror. The FIA as usual have made a mockery of this though Drivers have been racing without mirrors for years , Haas' protest was against a loose part which then really passed when the mirror fell off, what we then got left with then wa...

Re: How do you feel about the Red Bull penalty for breaching the budget cap?
As I mentioned the other day, the problem with having a penalty that could and should make RB's job more difficult over the next two years, is that any WDC and WCC won by a different team in the coming years, will feel devalued as people will call out the fact that RB was not able to compete as the...

Of course. Horner is saying that the money spent made zero difference to the car's speed. Well, he has to say this. If he said it even gave the car a hundredth of a second per lap, it would cause up raw.

[tweet][/tweet] I didn't watch the race so i'm getting all the info about the incident from here & bits & pieces from elsewhere. Re: Budget Cap Breach Rumours
There's also a greater issue with not penalising the team over the 2021 season. Not only do they still get all the glory of winning that year, but if they don't win in the coming 2 or 3 years, they will have not only the perfect excuse, but it also devalues any potential championships won by other t...

Re: Budget Cap Breach Rumours
Staggered to suddenly realise that the financial penalty does not have to come from the F1 budget. So, a company like Red Bull, with yearly revenue in the billions, is going to pay that fine without noticing. It has zero effect on the team.

Re: Alonso's US GP Penalty - Is it safe to drive with a missing mirror??
Staggers me that they haven't yet introduced rear-view cameras on F1 cars. You could position them in such a position to ensure a far better view than you get from current mirrors and simply have a screen for the drivers to look at. Maybe that isn't actually a good thing though? I'm not convinced m...

The fact it appears to be a 10% reduction on the 70% they have, not 10% of 100% test time, just makes the penalty even less of an issue for the team.

Re: Budget Cap Breach Rumours
What a pathetic penalty. Well worth any team overspending if they think they'll gain from it. Horner could pay that fine with loose change down his sofa. The wind-tunnel test reduction is nowhere near as big as it should have been.
RB will be very very happy with this.

Max doesn't exactly help with matter...
'That Red Bull won this year’s championship double on the back of last year’s Drivers’ Championship success has just added fuel to the fire.
Verstappen has shrugged it off.
“They are sore anyway so it doesn’t matter what they say or what you do,” he said'

Hi all, Just got back from a dog walk and one of my dogs, a whippet x bedlington, has a paw issue. He seems to be able to have generated heat in his front paws whilst his rear paws are still noticeably colder. I'm worried this could affect both his corner entry and corner exit speed. So what the FIA are basically saying is that if any car gets any damage whatsoever, they should stop straight away. Indeed, they should not even return to the pits. No, that's not what they're saying. Unless we're happy that it's a totally grey area, they are. We've all seen minor damage on an F1 c...

I admit I'm taking into account the fact that Max only took the lead with a minor amount of laps left.
