Re: 2022 Japanese Grand Prix Race Thread
Gasly has been called to the Stewards for speeding under a red flag!!!!! Seems fair to me. Irrespective of the rights and wrongs of the recovery, Gasly was going way to fast for waved yellows, safety car or red flag, especially given the conditions. I'm inclined to agree. Whilst the red flag may ha...

As I'm too lazy to do the maths, will Max be WDC if the race is cancelled and no points are awarded? How about half points?

Wtf. How’s this happened!? We lost a life in this situation years ago. We risk our lives, especially in conditions like this. We wanna race. But this… Unacceptable.

Re: 2022 Japanese Grand Prix Race Thread
Maybe this is a separate discussion topic but what should be the procedure for recovery vehicles? Either ensure the corcuit is fully clear first or, as has been stated here pretty often, incorporate slow zones? A slow zone would have helped, but really, wait until all cars are behind the safety car.

Re: 2022 Japanese Grand Prix Race Thread
Regardless of how fast Gasly may have been going, there should never be a vehicle on the circuit when there is at least one car not in the line behind the safety car. It's never worth the risk.

Re: 2022 Japanese Grand Prix Race Thread
Maybe inters should be more towards wets than they currently are, or just get rid of inters I think the teams should have been made to start on Wets. Inters were probably used because they thought all the cars would clear up quite a bit of the water within a few laps and they would be quicker. It's...

Re: 2022 Japanese Grand Prix Free Practice & Qualifying Thread
what would the punishment have been if they had an accident and who would have been at fault for it Norris was the driver that had to take evasive action there's little doubt to who was at fault. Max was very lucky. But it's become standard for those in the leading cars to get away with such incide...

Huge crash in Pirelli Ferrari Challange.
Just watching this on Sky F1 and at the fastest point of the long straight at Mugello, one of the 488s has speared off to the right, hit the wall and tumbled its way back onto the track. I was fearful for a moment but barely 30 seconds after the accident we saw the driver walking off the track. Asto...

I can't believe there can be many grey areas when it comes to the amount of money spent unless teams are outsourcing work to other companies and funding this though a totally different pot of money used by the team itself.

Re: Overly cluttered F1 graphics, unwanted sound and other stuff
I've said this for many years but I'll say it again. F1 need to get DORNA to sort them out. Their camera work and graphics used in MOTO GP are simply brilliant. F1 still has cameras on cars that can only be viewed post-race, as they don't transmit live images. F1 claim this is due to a lack of space...

Re: 2022 Singapore Grand Prix Race Thread
Has there ever been another GP where the reigning WDC & his predecessor, regarded as the fastest of their generation, were both so embarrasingly rubbish? This is great. Re: 2022 Singapore Grand Prix Race Thread
Let me get this straight. Is Perez blaming the conditions for not keeping up with the safety car? Was he also trying to make the SC go faster? And didn't Horner say after the race that he knew of nothing yet the FIA say that they warned the team during the race?

That's useful. If Perez wins, they'll not give him a time penalty. If he gets passed by Charles, they can give him a 5-second penalty with no change to his position.

Nothing against him as a person as he always comes across as a nice mane, but as a driver, this could be Perez's forth win and I just don't rate him as a driver who would have that many wins.
