Re: Lewis doesn't want to share data with Bottas
In keeping with the theme of this thread, it seems Bottas does not want to share data with Hamilton. He doesn't think it's ideal. But does that make him.....what are some of the things Hamilton has been accused of.......oh yes....selfish....arrogant....afraid of his teammate......not a team player?...

Imagine streaming that 360 degree view so that you could select whatever car you wanted to ride with and use it! See this is what F1 really should do. They could be leaps and bounds ahead of the competition in terms of streaming for sports. They should let you ride with whomever you want! I don't t...

So is it not true that politics were playing out in McLaren that affected both drivers??? You admit that Alonso was promised #1 status with McLaren and that he was given such status until Monaco where he made a massive stink. Why did he make the "stink" then? Another wrong doing on his part, I assu...

BTW, could someone give a source on all the claims that Alonso made use of Hamilton's data in 2007? I've never heard that before, and I'm interested to see where people are getting it from. Certainly the fact that Hamilton copied Alonso's setups until Hungary is common knowledge, but what data of L...

Re: Lewis doesn't want to share data with Bottas
Back on topic... In the abstract, I agree with Hamilton; drivers should succeed or fail based on their skill, not their ability to mimic each other. Realistically however, there's no way to put the genii back in the bottle, and there's also no question that data sharing leads to better drivers. Fro...

Lewis Hamilton winning his maiden British GP in 2008 was very popular at the time. I remember it being on the news all day the following day and on all the major newspapers' front pages which is rare for motorsports.

Re: Potential disciplinary action against Hamilton by Merced
Would those that don't consider Hamilton one of the GOAT change that opinion if he won another 3 easy titles at Mercedes? Hamilton seems to care more about his legacy (in an emotional sense) than any other driver I have seen. I think he would see winning a championship for Ferrari as so much more v...

Re: Hamilton's Win Rate Compared to Schumacher
I think if you gave Michael and Lewis each 10 laps to do Michael would be the most consistent, perhaps all within a tenth of each other. Lewis on the other hand would probably produce the fastest lap but with a few excursions off track or crashes. In short Michael would have a better average lap tim...

Re: When will McLaren get back on the podium?
2016 I think. Good result yesterday, but I think that race was a bit of a crazy one with a lot going on. And a number of cars that would likely have been faster dropped out. Then again, a slightly crazier race, or a downpour at the right time for Alonso or Button and I they look like they'd have at...

In any case I don't think Lewis cares much beyond the tremendous success he's had with Mercedes power over the last 10 years. Everything else is semantics. I'm sure after he retires he will thank all the people responsible like Dennis, Brawn, Haug, Zetsche, Wolff, Lauda, Lowe and Vasseur,.
