Possible new penalty system?
The FIA are considering implementing a sort of football style penalty system, with drivers gathering enough points over a season being banned for a certain period of time. FIA are apparently running the system in the background to see how things would work out hypothetically. Thoughts?

Hey guys. Simple thread, just predict what you think the career moves of our current crop of young drivers will be, to which teams they will go, and for how long they would stay. Let's say any driver under 28 as of today counts. I'm quite keen to see where you guys think our young stars will end up....

The loss of any driver, no matter what he had achieved, is truly a sad and sobering experience. I never saw these two race, but I have the utmost respect for them, and the fact that we remember them 19 years later is a testament to the impact they made on all followers of this great sport. The big FOUR: Fernando Alonso: He is incredibly tough and never gives up. He is very hard to deny and is consistent while also dealing with car issues very well. Probably the best driver on the grid IMO. Kimi Raikkonen: Tough to rattle and has great racecraft. Can set a series of quick laps in the r...

Your reaction right after a race ends?
I was just wondering what you guys get up to in your living rooms when you watch the end of a race on Tv? For me, if my favourite driver wins,I jump off the couch, throw my arms up and scream "Driver X wins!" If a driver I dislike wins, I politely clap at the television a few times, and if a favouri...

Re: Enthusiasts views on Ayrton Senna
I never got to see Senna race, as I wasn't even born when he died. But I do remember asking my dad (An F1 fan of 30 odd years) to tell me about him when I first heard the name "Ayrton Senna". All he said to me was: "He was quick. You could see, even on TV, that he was quick. There was always a touch...

Hi guys. I've thought about the matter for a while now, and I've decided that Kimi Raikkonen, to me personally, is a very underrated driver. So, basic stuff here guys. Imagine a series of 10 races on a given track, not one that really exists though. The cars are identical but can be set up for driver preference. I know this doesn't count as a proper statistical trial, but IIRC Michael Schumacher beat Narain by 6 odd seconds in the ROC Nations Cup. Of course, we'd have to do many more races to form a true idea of who is faster and by how much. My personal opinion is that Narain is quite a bit slower than for...

A better question might be: "Should RBR have offered Mark a new contract?" For me, the answer depends on your view. In terms of actual team performance, i.e. taking "Humaness" into account, maybe keeping Mark around to be number 2 to Sebastian isn't a bad idea. After all, three WCC's don't lie, do t...
