Re: What can be done to eliminate porpoising

Be careful what you wish for Merc. If the situation is a 'serious safety concern' then surely the FIA could take action on those ‘unsafe’ cars, and perhaps request them to adjust the setup in order to render them safe to compete?

Re: Thoughts on Miami then?

I wonder if some views (including mine) were influenced by the cheap and tacky feel of the overall show/hype. The actual race itself was better that I was expecting and I’d probably rather watch drivers being challenged with an awkward closed track than some of the older ‘new’ races we’ve had where ...

What the hell is this pre podium stuff. Either I am getting old or this is formula 1 now. But this is not necessary. Surely. Max and bernie would never of allowed this rubbish to happen. Yes I must be getting old too because I gave up and couldn't watch the pre/post race show because it was such a ...

Re: 2022 Miami Grand Prix Free Practice & Qualifying Thread

The hype is starting to get to me. They seem to be giving the impression that Miami is some sort of world destination on par with Monaco, London, or maybe New York. It's not. Miami is the retirement community of the Midwest. For all its faults, Vegas is ten times as glamorous. I know what you mean....

I don't get why so many fans are moaning about the lack of DRS, I found it refreshing. The passes that did happen during that period were good moves rather than just ‘flip a switch and drive past’ (which everyone also moans about! ;-)

To me incessant hyperbole equates to dumbing down, which annoys intensely me, and is the reason I watch very little TV these days. F1 is one of the very few things I watch and I find myself no longer watching the pre/post shows anymore.

Us poor folk living in Scotland need to make the most of decent weather so I don't like spending weekend time in front of a TV when the sun is out, so I've weaned myself onto watching highlights or a recording. I think the only thing that could cause him to retire early is a big inter team battle for the title that gets nasty but he comes out the winner of. Not sure he's got another one of those in him to start again at this point. Or if Russell clearly beats him next year and it looks like he's past his ...
