Re: Autosport: More details of Formula E's radical race form
I'd prefer it to fanboost too and to be honest as long as f1 remains 'proper' (as much as it can with DRS and tyre regs), I'm happy to have a gimmick.like this in Fe. I watch Fe for a number of reasons, one of which is that it is purely entertaining! I can understand that it will make it different t...

Re: Massa to drive in Formula-e
On a slightly related topic to the thread - From the video posted on formula e's YouTube channel of Nico driving the gen 2 car in Berlin, in his interview after the drive, he seemed fairly adamant that he wasn't going to be driving for Mercedes in Fe in 2 years time. Couldn't tell if it all smoke an...

Re: Massa to drive in Formula-e
I just hope he doesn't do as bad as Villeneuve or Trulli did, or even Heidfeld. From all the ex F1 drivers to compete in Fe, the older ones haven't faired overly well. If that's down to actual driving talent or possibly getting a little older I don't know, but even if Fe isn't as physically demandi...

Re: Safety Cars Determining the Championship
You really can't blame SC or VSC for what may appear to be a lottery finish. If you're doing that, you may as well simply blame drivers for crashing or maybe for attempting to actually race! If the safety car was used today for example, we have had next to no finishers at all. Just look at what happ...

We'll if it makes you feel any better, Perez is my favourite driver on the grid since JB retired and I feel the same.
I'd love to see him jump into the Ferrari seat when Kimi finally retires. But sadly, I think that's doubtful.

I seen a couple of his vids before, they're quite good really, a lot better than most of the vlogging vids out there. I could be wrong, but I'm sure I've seen him doing a vid where he explains how many people are working behind the camera for him to make his content. Not taking anything away from hi...

Guys. (and ladies). I now have F1 race coverage with no commercial breaks and listen to Brundle rather than Hobbs (still trying to figure out why Americans liked the guy outside of potential nostalgia). I didn't necessarily dislike Speed or NBC, but I do miss Steve Matchett commentating. but F1 vie...

Re: Why not give Kimi the benefit of the doubt
Why should we need to give Kimi the benefit or the doubt when he did nothing wrong? We don't know what he has done or said to the mechanic off the TV and he's not exactly know for his emotional personality, so what did people expect him to say or look like in interviews? This is just people who look...

Re: Mercedes Strategy
I don't think you're giving Bottas enough credit for his drive last week. Yes, he couldn't make the pass on the 1 lap he had the chance to, but until 10 laps to go when he started pushing he was driving to his given delta fully expecting Vettel to have to pit again. Mercedes strategy was sound for t...

No pre-race or post race coverage. Boring commentary and no interviews from the pits. Also, how come we hear so much from Hamilton's radio and so little from everyone else. This type of coverage is certainly not going to increase F1's popularity in the USA. We had pre-race "On the Grid"...

Gasly, Ericsson, Vettel, Magnussen, Alonso Disappointing: - Ferrari! How can you release a car when a mechanic still is standing in front of (!) the wheel? Re: 2018 Bahrain Grand Prix Race Thread
Couple of laps more and Bottas had Seb... To be honest he should have had him anyway. Hamilton would have made that move stick IMO. Max, ALO, RIC, HAM all make that move on the last lap. Bottas bottled that, and Merc will remember it. Strong drive from Vettel, fair play to him. Very watchable race ...

Re: 2018 Bahrain Grand Prix Race Thread
With 5 laps to go, Bottas was lapping 134.6, Seb was 135.6, with a three second gap. Bottas should have had DRS for at least two laps. For last two laps, Bottas was lapping 136s, and barely getting DRS. Bottas choked, doesn't know how to pass or doesn't have the killer instinct, or all three. Botta...

Don't know how anyone can't vote for Vettel and Gasly.
Without retirements, Gasly would probably have finished 7th, but still a great drive. And Vettel managing to finish on those sorts was incredible.
