Re: Leclerc extends Ferrari deal (2024)

pokerman wrote: For Leclerc do you think that he easily walks into either the Mercedes or Red Bull teams?
Yes, unless an existing driver on one of those teams were to block him. Two reasons: 1) to get a driver with promise, 2) to get him out of the Ferrari.

Good points. I am not too concerned with the half day in London proper other than the best way to get there from Heathrow. For the full day, we would like to see and experience places like perhaps Shere? If we rent a car, we could maybe visit a few places in a given area? Suggestions to off the beat...

Re: Ferrari '21 - Would you sign Hamilton

Hamilton is arguably the quickest driver of his generation. That being said, we should not ignore his history, of questioning the team and becoming toxic when faced with a worthy teammate. The top teams are learning that the best driver combination is one star and one sedate and quiet teammate who ...

Definitely agree, Ferrari is a pressure cooker and actually he performed TOO well in his first season, because he essentially became Ferrari's lead driver in only his 2nd F1 season. As I mentioned in my original post I feel like he needs a mentor or something of the sort, and I feel Hamilton would ...

This thread is about Tifosi wishful thinking, as usual. You heard it here first... Hamilton will finish his career at Mercedes. "Tifosi wishful thinking, As usual"??? There are very few Tifosi comments (maybe Siao & definitely me), the OP is not a Tifosi either. Sorry to disillusion you, DFW. ;)

Re: Ferrari to retain Veto

Imagine if Manchester United has a veto on how the Premier League worked? It’d be crazy. The teams shouldn’t have a say in decisions on the rules. Definitely involve them in finding out what they think but final decisions shouldn’t be voted on/vetoed by teams. the teams SHOULD have a say in decisio...

If no team has a say, then the teams have no real power in the directives passed down. as long as the threat of a Veto is present, the teams have an "ace" in the game. It's simple. The FIA are never going to out ferrari. To do so would blow up F1. Liberty can't even stop ferrari from getting the extra 100 million. They will keep coming out with a directives to stop whatever they are doing. This is all controlled as a business decision to keep the money flowing. A...

Vettel was 99% ahead and made the move fraction too early. Charles knew what was coming but still did not want to give up. That incident is being blown away out of proportion. Based on FP2 it seems Ferrari’s straight line speed advantage is back to where it was previously. Christian Horner said Red Bull we’re losing 0.7seconds on the straights. I’ve just read a tweet that says that Merc we’re losing 0.8-0.9 seconds. Qualifying and the race will obviously tell us more whe...
