Re: Bernie wants F1 to be fully electric in 2021
I was thinking.. you could keep ICEs around if you power them with hydrogen instead of gasoline. It's an option I never see mentioned. But this way you could have good sounding engines while also being green and clean. That depends on why you want rid of the ICE. If you are keeping it, shy not keep...

Another thing to keep in mind, but only the engine makers will know this, New developments. It is always 'too soon' to state the engine is ready. There are always a handful of things in the pipeline and not quite there, but at a deadline the engine goes as it is. A team could find a real humdinger i...

I love CVT and have had several. Its a learned technique to get the best out of them. There are 'grades' of CVT too. The Nissan one is streets infront of the Ford one, so much so you would not believe it is the same thing. Subaru is prob the best I have had.

So considering the above, is it a good idea to arm Teachers and rely on them to act 'as instructed'? Do they spend a day a month at the range? What if it is one of the teachers that does the shooting? Going down this path is just stupidity. Even bringing in reliable 'guards' is a slippery slope. A ...

I was concerned about the driver getting in and out, and here is Gasley's take on it “I don’t like it, it’s a big mess to get in the car and get out,” he said. “I think my suit is already broken, so we’ll have to ask for many suits from Alpine Stars this year. “Already, it’s only the first day and I...

The thing is how they do the change, if they do. If they wait for it to happen it will take a long time as the 'letric cars go head to head with the ICE cars, but if they say ' right, from 2025 ALL are electric' then they will only be racing like for like and we probably would not see much differenc...

I also get the feeling they have had lots of negative feedback through things like ' Williams can not have a driver under 25' etc and young drivers seem to have a huge following before they come to F1, or be refused a seat in F1 due to Martini. There also seems to be a move to run more races in coun...

If you truly believe that any part of the motor racing world "didn't skip a beat" after the Le Mans disaster you clearly have no idea. From 1965 (my first year following F1) through to 2009, the absence of Mercedes as a works team in F1 was seldom discussed. Even during Mercedes return to LeMans in...

How many think FIA will backtrack and remove the Halo now they have mandated it?
First, They dont want to be seen backtracking and maybe they were wrong, and second, can you imagine what would happen if the year after the dropped it there was an indecent that the Halo really would have saved?
