Re: Where did "The undercut" come from?
I liked the refuelling era before the cars evolved so much with there aero that they couldnt overtake one another on track and had to wait for the stops. I agree fuel burning qualifying was a hacked fix. When re-fueling comes back, and it will to spice it up at some point. It has to be with this qu...

I miss the refuelling era. It was an interesting to see the tactics of it worked out. And would the cars be even more economical (green) if they did not have to start with heavy fuel loads?

Rosberg needs to deal with it. He should have passed Hamilton if Hamilton was too slow. What you guys are criticising Hamilton for is the exact same thing you were saying Rosberg should try and do and double Dhabi last season I'm not sure there's a lot of criticism against Lewis. Re: If F1 really did 'collapse'
On paper the GP1 scenario is very appealing but without the head line acts (i.e. Ferrari, McLaren and Mercedes) it is hard to see it survive. The money and exposure would remain with F1 and therefore would attract the top talent. With all due respect to FI and Sauber they are not strong enough as he...

Re: Will Alonso get fed up with the underperforming Mclaren?
Nothing Alonso can do until a seat opens up at Mercedes. If Ferrari do mount a credible challenge this year (one swallow does not make a summer) and they get a car in front of Rosberg consistently then a seat will open up I think. Then he will have a decision to make (assuming his contract allows it...

There is just a hint, a mere whiff, of sour grapes from di Montezemolo in that statement. Or maybe it is designed to flatter his own (considerable) ego. The mention of the errors Mercedes made emphasize that for me. Most accept (including Wolff) that on this occasion Ferrari won on merit. It is the ...

I'd agree with you. For example I dislike remarks designed to insult Red Bull. They are every bit a genuine race team as anyone else. Every team is a marketing tool for something or other. It is an expensive sport so every team will have a wealthy person sitting at the top. They are wealthy because ...

I voted Vettel as he is so close to that target. It would be a considerable achievement if Hamilton surpasses 41 wins first or even this season. Whilst I am delighted Ferrari have taken a big step forward I do feel they will be a bit hit and miss as the season progresses. But crucially they seem a h...

Mansell's win:wdc ratio could only have happened during the Prost-Senna-Piquet era. He really did need to get the job done in 1992. I personally think that Mansell was overrated. If they leave Renault then Honda would be my guess. From RB's point of view a Mercedes or Ferrari customer engine might still leave them handicapped. Personally, the changing of helmet design is a pet peeve of mine.
However if drivers want to do it, it seems stupid to stop it. It smacks of hindering individuality.
If it is a case of identification they could make the car numbers bigger. Most teams have plenty of space available.
