Re: Ricciardo's embarassment
And we have seen that in F1 its hard to lift yourself out of the bottom tier if you dont have serious monet to spend in the right place which the cost cap no clamps down, in the last 30 years Redbull remains the only team that has broken in and stayed there. Team Enstone was last competitive as rec...

Re: Ricciardo's embarassment
Yes..... Yes I can think this. In 2018 Ricciardo was seen as one of the best drivers on the grid & a potential WC. It was becoming clear that if he were to stay with RB, it would be as an unofficial #2 to Verstappen &, everything being equal, he was never going to win a championship with them. So h...

Re: Ricciardo's embarassment
Yeah, people are acting like there was no way Renault would ever be a top team when Ricciardo signed for them, but there's really no reason they couldn't have been. They obviously sold him on the idea that they were investing heavily, and he took a chance that they were right about their prospects....

Re: Ricciardo's embarassment
Disagree. He was well on the way of heading down the same path as Webber was before him & Perez is now. He had the option of staying & becoming Verstappens b*tch, which was the reason he left in the first place, or go to Renault & turn it into his team & hoped they got their act together & become c...

The only one I am sure of is Vettel not returning, his goodbye just has the end of an era written all over it.

Re: Ricciardo's embarassment
It was always a mistake leaving Redbull career wise, but financially he has done well. I agree. Huge mistake. Since then he is chasing money and I think is paid more than 10million or so by Mclaren for not being in F1 next year as well. That is why he did not even made any effort for Haas. Kimi was...

Vettel is an enigma though, he had all this in him and kept it till he had to say goodbye to F1.
The #FinalLap is truly a joy to watch, he gave it all and a little bit more.

Re: Hamilton/Verstappen Brazil 22
The leaving a space is to encourage more racing, but it seems some drivers now rely on that phrase to stick their nose into a closing gap. Verstappen knew that gap was going to close why should Hamilton leave a cars width and not take the apex when from his angle of trajectory he was never making th...

Re: Do red bull have a max verstappen problem.
There were always clues with Vettel. Hamilton and Alonso always knew. There are clues now. There are a lot of clues he's not as good as Lewis on race pace in even cars or in one to one battle. And will use his car as a weapon against Lewis if needed to prove otherwise. There are even more clues he'...

The only thing I was surprised about was it wasn't a stop and go penalty, as even in real time ignoring the rubbish Brundle was saying it was obvious it was a deliberate accident in which Max knew he was never making the corner but was ready to crash which he later admitted post race. Yes, I/we saw what you said, and I/we disagree with your questioning of whether or not Max is even in the top 3 fastest drivers . I think we all agree he's in the fastest car, especially post summer break (before that I think it was very close between RB and Ferrari), though Merc have been catching...

Not saying same is going for Verstappen, but if Merc he back to winning ways and Ferrari improve things could ...

I feel that 6th is undeserved for vettel. A stupid mistake that sent him to the back, then he was saved by the restart and his early stop. Re: P2 in the WDC
If Perez fails to take number 2 in the WDC - freak incidents and accidents aside - his stock tumbles. Not really. Nobody would expect Perez to beat Leclerc in similar paced cars. Especially when he isn't the focus on his team. Are they similarly paced cars at this point in the season? Lately, Lecle...

Re: PF1 Forum teammate wars vote: Singapore 2022
Don't really get the Stroll votes. Vettel made a great start jumping Stroll and going from 13th to 8th on lap 1. Stroll then was able to get back ahead because he was able to pit under the SC. Then Vettel was able to stay inside Stroll's DRS until the final 10 minutes when he fell back having to de...

Re: PF1 Forum teammate wars vote: Singapore 2022
Easy votes: Perez over Verstappen. Though this is only for the race. Perez was not very good in qualifying. He should have easily been on pole as Verstappen was nearly a full second up on Perez and Leclerc in sectors one and two alone. Verstappen's race was awful and Perez was good, so that is why ...

And we also know Perez is driving the slower Redbull as confirmed by him an...

Even if he breaks 13 wins (highly likely, given how long the season is and how comical Ferrari actually are) it still won't be as impressive as Vettel's 9 wins in a row. IMHO. I strongly disagree. In just this last race Verstappen spun on his own and was lucky not to crash out. So luck plays a lot in that so not a rare mistake from tier 1 drivers.
