Re: 2020 Russian Grand Prix Race Thread
That feels wrong to me. I've never seen that getting penalised in race. It's not something that's effected the race so it feels wrong it gets an in race penalty. My only thoughts are that maybe they really don't want to give him penalty points knowing the potential reprecutions. You haven't seen it...

Re: 2020 Russian Grand Prix Race Thread
Mercedes and "the greatest driver of our time" are making silly mistakes. There is no reason for Mercedes to tell Hamilton it is fine, and Lewis should also know on his own. Dumb.

1. As a Canadian, it pains me to say this: Lance Stroll has no place in F1 without his father owning the team, he would not be. On a side note, I *AM* a Lawrence Stroll fan. Putting real cash and resources into F1 should always be welcome. 2. Grosjean needs to go. He has had several chances and YEAR...

I believe we are witnessing a changing of the guard? Well RB seems to have passed Ferrari among the top three teams. I will need more convincing to decide that RB is better than Merc. Regardless of how you feel about that pass, it is AWFUL for F1 that the last three podiums are up to the Stewards. Horrible for the sport.

This win will be up there if Hamilton pulls it off, but he's proved himself to be a tit. I'm a Ham fan, but you're right, he moans way too much, when it isn't the case. To bad it can't rain in Monaco and be sunny in Indy.

Re: Anyone have any radical ideas to fix F1?
I understand your concern, but Jean-Pierre Jarie is a bad example. He raced during my era and he was a complete moron. If back-markers stay on the racing line and the leaders have to get their tires dirty to go around them it will spice up the racing considerably. Will it be perfect? No. Will it be ...

I don't think it's hyperbole to say they are in grave trouble. They are in shambles and don't seem to know where to look and what to do.
It is such a shame and I genuinely hope they can turn it around before it is too late.

They all kept repeating that Kvyat has "matured". I hope so, for his own sake, but 'me thinks they do protest too much'.
