Re: 2018 Australia Grand Prix Race Thread
This is some suspicious stuff. Both Haas drivers have a wheel that isn't properly attached back to back; stopping on track...There's a virtual that lasts just long enough for Vettel to jump into the lead and then switches to a normal safety car (if it were just a normal safety car from the beginnin...

Re: The riddle of the kerbs
For the sake of impartial refereeing, any assessments should be removed from human interpretation. With today's technology, it would be very simple to install sensors for the cars, and if any car exceeds set limits, a penalty is automatically issued. Don't they regularly do this in Australian Super...

Re: Force India/Brabham rumour
So, a family inheritance in the form of the known name will be sold for commercial purposes, and they will put sticker "Brabham" on the car. No, it does not have anything to do with the old Martini and Parmalat Brabhams. That era is gone. It would be awkward putting thte Brabham name again the the ...

Re: Are these new 2017 cars a complete failure?
New formula is a success in my opinion for similar reasons above. Yes there are less overtakes but they're more suspenseful and meaningful. Vettel attempting to reel bottas in last night in the final stint was more exciting to me than 30+ tyre advantage overtakes that happen so fast that the broadc...

Without even googling that has to be Ferrari. You know, I thought about that while writing up my post and I wanted to exclude Ferrari, simply because they have so much heritage and tradition that it's nearly impossible for them to disappear. Sorry to have forgotten to add that to my OP. And McLaren...

Re: Mercedes must back Hamilton, now
I'm not sure Bottas optimizing for quali is a real thing - probably more an explanation people are giving to explain what they see on track i.e. Bottas performing better in qualifying than on race pace. But to be fair, we have often seen examples of drivers with better race pace than qualifying pac...

As I said, he did well when he got chance at Manor. But even then he got that seat purely due to sponsorship they needed. And this year, the reason Ocon is at Force India is partially due to same reason. Between him and Pascal, I dont think speed is the reason to consider him over Pascal. So money ...

TBH, for the last several years I have been thinking he should go, but last year we had a few flashes of the old Kimi, and proved me wrong. I think it may install the notion that women should sit below men, somehow inferior. There is no reason why a women could not compete with men. Yes. I am drawn to bikes and cars and I dont think it would have been any different if I was watching 40 years ago. My Nan worked in the pub next to Coopers and knew Bruce well and went to some Gran Prix's with him. My grand father was a motor body builder and used to fabricate exhausts for Cooper. ...
