Re: The Official Lewis Hamilton thread
Sigh.. It is with sadness that I read the Lewis to Merc story. After nearly a decade and a half, the Lewis-Mclaren dream is over. I respect his decision and I hope he finds success at Mercedes. I really hope McLaren and Lewis manage one last title as a parting gift to each other. Whatever happens, ...

Re: The Official Lewis Hamilton thread
@Pitkidd. I do give him credit, I have defended him more than once on here. I just reckon the hype behind him is just that, hype. He's quick. But what he gains from being quick he loses with other deficiencies. Just like JB isn't as quick but what he loses in speed he makes up for with other attrib...

Re: World championship not yet over for Hamilton
McLaren aren't going to jump through hoops to see Number 1 on a Silver Arrows next year. This makes sense to me. Why should they support him now? Although Ron says it's the wins that's the most important thing for McLaren and on current form Lewis has the better chance of the win than his team mate...

Not a surprise considering all the speculation. I only hope it's a good move for him. Maybe Merc can do job with the car as they did at the start of '09. Just one more: If this is all about money (and we don't know for certain, but assuming it is), what has changed financially for MaLaren in t...

Re: Explain the mood between Vettel, Button and Alonso
To be honest although there is plenty of respect between Vettel/Button and Alonso I'm not sure they really get on all that well. Button seems to get along with just about anyone. He's the ultimate PR guy, a sponsor's dream . It seems Alonso hasn't much to say about Vettel lately compared to Hamilto...

Explain the mood between Vettel, Button and Alonso
After the race and before the podium ceremony in the briefing room, Button and Vettel and one of his engineers were chatting happily away about the race, except Alonso who was very distant.

Still think it will be closer than what people are speculating. Obama's getting shafted over the economy and had a job to clean up after bush; but that doesn't matter to voters. It's what's happening to them now that counts.
Remember what Clinton said? "it's about the economy, stupid!"

All depends on how tight his deal is with Ferrari. I can't see any of them having a driver through a young drivers program and not have them wrapped up tight so they can't be poached. Would be a bit silly business wise to put all that funding and effort in just to let someone else reap the rewards....
