Re: Which tracks do NOT need DRS to promote overtaking?
Nothing, the DRS was set up well and led to an exciting race, with plenty of prolonged side by side action, at a track renowned for dull races with no overtaking. But the 2011 race had DRS and was as dull as dish water. Okay, they switched from two zones in 2011 to one in 2012, but even had the sam...

Re: Could Red Bull run "wingless" at Monza?
There were some attempts to run wingless cars in 1979/80, as the downforce generated by the ground effect was supposed to be strong enough. However, none of these cars made it to the track without a proper rear wing in real racing conditions. Yeah, I know that aero has evolved a lot since 1980, but...

I love several of the commenters here, working hard all day to fill the internet with useless drivel, opining on how OTHERS don't know what it's like to be underprivileged. I guess Fangio just didn't have an internet connection, probably why he started working as a mechanic at 11. I agree, take the...

Yeah, it's getting boring. This is why I stopped watching during the Schumacher years, because honestly, with the exception of Seb Vettel's parents does anyone really want to watch the same procession week in week out? Spa was over halfway through the first lap barring a parts failure or tyre blowo...

Re: Could Red Bull run "wingless" at Monza?
Don't they have to have a rear wing in the rules? I think any attempt to run wingless would be protested immediately, either because it isn't within the spirit of the rules or because of safety fears. They won't run wingless. They'll just run with the same wing as Spa and try and take off some down...

Can everybody not just admit that Vettel is clearly one of the best drivers on the grid - obviously alongside Hamilton, Alonso and Kimi. He's been in the right place for the last four seasons but ultimately, he's taken advantage of that in the way that top tier drivers do. I can easily admit that V...

It's crazy to think so many are asking for rain to spice up the racing. It depends on what you class as 'spicing' up. I'd rather see a procession with 1 or 2 amazing seat of the pants overtakes than degrading tyres with 100 overtakes per race. Not that those are the only two options, of course... I just think tyres shouldn't play such a huge role in race outcomes, no m...

I personally think the FIA owe Pirelli a favour. Fans were screaming out for less predictability from the tyres to lead to more exciting races. Canada 2010 showed them how multiple stops could be fun. Out go Bridgestone, in step Pirelli to do exactly what the FIA asked of them. Now fans are fed up o...

Obviously race engineers stay no matter the driver... (unless they get fired of course) Some drivers take their race engineers to their new teams. Agreed.
