Re: Fernando Alonso/Ferrari split rumor uberthread [MERGED]

Assuming it is true my first feeling is (somehow) disappointment! I would have liked to have seen Ricciardo stuff Vettel and Alonso stuff Kimi for one more year. ;) Whatever happens Ferrari will likely be consigned to upper mid-field mediocrity for the next few seasons, there's been too much turmoi...

Re: Mercedes stand and Abu Dhabi

If this were NASCAR, the FIA would find a way to force Mercedes to take extra engines, gear boxes and ERS systems at the last race so that both cars have to start from the back of the grid...

That'll provide interest from the first lap to the last :)

3 Car Teams - A (Somewhat Tongue In Cheek) Idea

We all know that Bernie wants 6 x 3 car teams to pad the grid so he can stop supporting what he terms the 'basket cases' but the teams themselves are unhappy because scaling a team from 2 to 3 cars will cost more than 150% of two cars for obvious reasons, e.g. 2 cars + spares fit in one transporter,...

If you want to feel old about Max Verstappen, Pokemon is older than he is. As is the Harry Potter series. What are the lessons learnt from Britneygate? Hamilton can't trust Rosberg on track, Rosberg can't trust Hamilton off track Rosberg is 'harder' than Mercedes thought while Hamilton, though faster than Rosberg, is not 'necessary' for Mercedes to win a WDC Who is the big loser in all of this? Look on the bright side, at least this incident confirms that even at 17 Max Verstappen will not be the most immature driver on the grid next season, if it were possible for a 5 year old to reach an F1 cars pedals, then and only then would Hamilton face some competition

If you go back to F3, the last time Vettel had a competitive team mate, he responded in the same way, pushing beyond the limits of the car and himself. Who was his team mate that comfortably beat him? Di Resta :uhoh:
