Re: The Official Malaysia GP Qualifying Thread.

What's the difference between the two compounds meant to be at this track?

Re: Formula 2 Porn Sponsor

People don't have an issue with alcohol companies sponsoring cars (despite the fact that booze is so much worse for you than porn) so I don't see why there's a problem. I think the people complaining about this are being a little uptight.

Re: New safety car rules.

I don't mind the current way of doing things but I think the best solution would be to arrange the cars in positional order once the track is clear, would take less time than what we do now too. I think the argument of "the leader has put lapped cars between himself and 2nd and now loses that advant...

Re: David Croft making too many mistakes?

Seriously nitpicking guys, he was just fine today. I've noticed things in just about every single race which the commentators have either missed or gotten wrong. It's standard. From onboard shots, the Sauber and Williams look quite similar , and it's hardly a first that a commentator has had a driv...

Early days, but Brundle was better as main commentator, Croft got too excited, made too many mistakes. The pre race and what I've watched of the post race coverage is at best, no better than than the Beeb Nothing new, nothing better, all for £50+ a month, good job I've never paid Rupert 'Spawn Of T...

Re: HAS HAMILTON LOST HIS RACECRAFT?

Once he got the wheelspin (which was his mistake) and Button got more alongside him, there was no way he was going to move to the inside, he's not stupid enough to squeeze his own teammate in the first corner of the first race of the season and potentially end both their races

The Grosjean collision was just a racing incident though to be honest (I'm taking the fact that there was no penalty as proof there was no one to blame).

Good to see them finally producing a decent car. As predicted, departure of Sam Michael helped a lot. :smug: Too bad drivers are quite rubbish. :uhoh: Let's just hope they won't lose out in every race like they did in 2009... I think it's a little unfair to call Maldonado "rubbish". He was at maxim...

To be fair to him, I was convinced the Sauber was a Williams from the on board view and I'm normally pretty astute at distinguishing cars.

What exactly did Georgie Thompson do wrong? Her main purpose is to set up Ant Davidson to give some decent technical analysis and I thought she did that well. She wasn't bad on the round up show I saw last night, I guess that comes from her extensive experience on SSN.

I'm split on this.. Whilst I agree that mistakes should be punished, gravel traps can flip a car quite easily. No, cars flip easily in sand traps, not gravel traps. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fRH75RyTgKk Watch how hitting the gravel trap actually causes Zonta to flip, making the accident even w...

Grosjean was only two tenths of Button, judging off Hamilton's lap might be little unfair as he did look on another level.

Brilliant, sensational, fantastic (running out of adjectives now) lap from Hamilton, gap would've been even bigger if he hadn't bailed from his last run (I think). Bring on tomorrow :D !

Really enjoyed qualy, very slick coverage, Crofty and Brundle worked well together and to top it off, they didn't even put any ads in the breaks between the sessions (not that I was that bothered but it was a nice touch). A+ to Sky :D !

Simon Lazenby (Sky's version of Jake) I am really not sure about this dude. Has anything actually changed? Seems to me they've just written down what was a previously unwritten understaning because certain drivers (no names mentioned but *cough* Schumi *cough* ;) ) were flouting it.

Big Ron quit because he had his fingers in other teams tills and got caught, the man was a liability and a blathering idiot to boot, Spygate revealed the true depth of his stupidity so basically it was to save face. I do not blame MB for leaving for sky, better wage package, better facilities, probably get a better room to broadcast from and better monitors and access to information. BUT he did do something for a better wage, he has already gained a huge respect for what he has done for the BBC and his career ...
