Re: Sky Coverage v BBC Coverage

Thought Brundle was on fire this weekend, loved his banter with Jenson on his gridwalk.

I like that Sky are getting random ex-drivers to join the team for a race like JV and Heidfeld. Keeps it fresh. Haven't seen any of the BBC coverage so I can't compare the 2.

Re: Mclaren admits to Button Crisis of confidence

Whilst Button is obviously a mentally strong driver who can accept finishing behind his teammate without question, he is still mentally weak in a way. If that makes any sense. He needs to have it in his mind that he can do the extraordinary to do it imo. Japan last year is my perfect example. There ...

Re: Stadium based f1 race?

Think it could be epic if done properly, have no faith on it happening like that though. A street circuit in London would be great, even if it's a one off. Past Big Ben, the London Eye etc. Even if the racing wasn't that great, it couldn't be worse than Monaco. Would like to point out that Melbourn...

Re: Attending a GP

Drunkenly agreed to make it 3 GP's this year a few days ago, I'm going to Silverstone too. Staying in Coventry (only place to get a hotel at this short notice, expenses paid for it) and getting the train to Northampton and then the shuttle bus. From what I hear it's a nightmare getting to/from the c...

I love a bit of Alonso bashing as much as the next Lewis fan but nothing to see here, move on. He speaks to his boss about the future prospects of his job, that's it.

Re: Moto GP Australia questions

Visited Melbourne for the F1 earlier this year, went to Phillip Island for a day trip - it's a fair old drive, wouldn't want to do it every day.

The Island itself is quite big and there is plenty of holiday homes there. Get in early and you'll be able to rent one.

Love to watch the Monaco GP. Lucky to be in europe so monaco not too far off, but heard it's impossible to watch unless you got $$$ is that right, or anyone know a hole in the fence somewhere you can sneak in? Ideally nicole kidman or similar invites you into her bedroom overlooking the race track....

It won't be a sell out - there could be places around central Barcelona, there's a shop on Las Ramblas where you can buy Barca tickets - they may sell GP tickets. You will be able to get them from the circuit for sure. That's what I did for the testing.

Always the focus is on tyres - but not the real cause of the problems we have had for years in F1. Upthread, someone mentioned that the likely winner is the driver leading into the first corner because after a few laps sliding around in dirty air the tyres are spent. The focus surely then s...
