Re: Maldonado or Senna?

You know that big "Santander" written on Alonso's Ferrari's rear wing... Seriously, a lot of bunk is bandied about regarding people being pay drivers these days. Hell, probably most of the grid is there at least partly on the basis of bringing some level of sponsorship to the team, rather than sole...

Yeah, that might sound a bit harsh but that's how it is.

Not really.

You know that big logo across Williams' rear wing? That's the reason Maldonado is there.

And Senna is there for similar reasons.

Re: Should Maldonado have settled for 6th?

I was impressed with both Maldonado's speed and maturity on Sunday - there were flashes where he looked like an old hand, so it's a shame how it turned out. But my respect for him as a driver increased a lot. Still, Alonso never looked overly bothered by any of it, and is arguably the last driver to...

Re: Kobayashi deserves a chance at the front

From next year, I feel that Kobayashi would be more than ready to make the step up to a front running team. I feel that top teams don't tend to go for unpredictable drivers, instead opting for those who are consistent and bankable. The great thing about Kamui is that he has an element of unpredictab...

Seriously nitpicking guys, he was just fine today. I've noticed things in just about every single race which the commentators have either missed or gotten wrong. It's standard. From onboard shots, the Sauber and Williams look quite similar, and it's hardly a first that a commentator has had a driver...

I don't think Maldonado can come in for too much stick today -- he had a very good race, it's just a shame that he's so often been in a good position and thrown it away. Most drivers have made at least a few mistakes over the weekend, it's just disappointing that Pastor's was on the last lap. Great ...

No way in hell was Kimi going to match Grosjean, regardless of the mistake taking him out of Q1. That's my opinion - Roman looked better all weekend. I'd say the Lotus was third fastest, only a touch behind the Merc, and would have been beaten by Rosberg if he'd hooked up a better lap. McLaren Merce...

While I don't think their pace was too poor to be allowed to race, I think the blocking certainly tipped the scales against them. Karthikeyan is moronic when it comes to letting leaders past. He showed that in abundance in India last year. I know it's difficult and people don't have eyes in the back...

Agh, one of the few times I've really not wanted to be right; and that's my suspicion that Caterham would have made little progress or improvement over last year's showing. It must be a real shame, and they didn't look close to getting into Q2 either. With such a tightly packed midfield, I would be ...

Rosberg does seem to struggle when the pressure of a real opportunity comes into play. I remember a couple of races where he had an opportunity to possibly win and he choked. I too think people are jumping the gun by condemning Räikkonen. I have stated previously that I thought he'd be beaten by Grosjean this year, but I doubt the margin will be all that big. I hope I'm wrong, but I'm convinced Red Bull will still be top of the pile. HRT are looking shockingly bad. In far worse shape than last year by the looks of it, but then again they are only just finding their feet.

I do wish them well, but I can't see them lasting much longer in F1 at this rate.

Lotus is definitely a midfield team also. They only scraped ahead of Force India in 2011 who, at the end of the year definitely had the superior car.

That said, even if Lotus were included, I'd still have voted Force India as I think they are set to take a step forward for 2012.
