Re: Alonso - A Legend of F1?
Easily. Why need he win one more championship? Where's the rule which states that a driver must be a triple world champion to be an F1 legend? The 2012 season has cemented this status in my opinion. Hopefully before he retires he'll have the machinery for at least one more title. The way I see it - ...

Anyone who would claim that the Ferrari is anywhere near the RB or McLaren in either qualifying or race trim is completely deluded. Were any of these people watching in Austin last weekend, where the Ferrari was about 1.5 seconds behind Vettel in qualifying and Alonso finished 39 seconds back? You d...

I liked him from the start to be honest, but it's in this season that he has risen to become my favourite driver alongside Webber. He has truly cemented his place among the greats this year, and his cool and mature attitude throughout the season has been noted by many. It has translated on to the tr...

Re: How many point Rubens would have scored given William's
I think Rubens would have about 60 - 65 points. He was good at Williams in 2010 but didn't have as quick a car in 2011. He was better than Pastor in 2011, although not as quick on occasion, but infinitely more consistent. He was always a solid if unspectacular qualifier. I see no reason why he could...

Rosberg can't really get a break, can he? First the team sign up the most successful Grand Prix driver of all time to partner him, then they sign one of the best on the grid to replace him. I'd like to see Nico do well, though I'm not holding my breath. Betting odds before pre-season testing for Ha...

Grosjean has a better benchmark in Kimi than Maldonado does in Senna, and it's arguably the case that he is generally faster than Kimi over a lap when things come together. If he can sort his first-lap troubles out, I'd imagine he'd be the better driver as he seems to do well when he lasts the race ...

If you listened to the interview where he made those comments, there was absolutely no malice or anger in his voice and he very much shrugged-the incident off, saying 'that's r...

Doesn't the team have to be able to prove that there is a genuine problem with the car when it retires? Well, they can just do a pitstop and all the cars would have pass him Or, as team orders are not illegal, have the driver literally slow down off-line and let all the cars pass him. Then he can a...

I voted yes, because I don't see any reason it was a bad idea. He wanted to do it, it made things more interesting, he can't tarnish his legacy because he's completely covered by the "He's old and had been out of F1 for a long time" line. Alonso has driven well enough to win multiple more world championships, and if he loses the lead before the end, it will be a shame. I think Alonso would be in with a shout of leading the championship in a McLaren, Red Bull, or Lotus.
