1. Faster in qualifying. Prost had 33 poles in 199 attempts while spending 4 seasons in a dominant car (84, 88, 89, 93). Hamilton reached 33 poles in 131 without a single dominant car. About Prost's years in a dominant car: in two of those years he had the best qualifier of all time for a teammate,...

I live in England, therefore I live in a free society. However, I have to conform to lots of rules and regulations that I have no say over, and lots I don't agree with. While some are claiming that no driver of the past is the equal of today's drivers... I can easily suggest that the driver of today, with all the electronics and aero help, would not match up to those great oldies when it comes to pure driving skills. Not faulting Bottas because the Williams just sucks in the wet, but my point is that none of those overtakes are going to make the best of the year, and most of those guys ultimately did not like to see a Redbull in their mirrors so they let him by as if there were blue flags. Thinking about it, it's really frustrating to realize that if Ferrari had executed well and capitalized upon Merc's mistakes, Vettel could have been in the lead of the championship taking a win in Australia and a second place in Bahrain into account. That's 46 points extra for 106 points in total.....

I think the current system is good for a smaller number of races, but it's too spread out for such a large calendar as we have now. I think in terms of what a driver was able to achieve over their career, it's about as good a measurement as the points system is for who was the best in a given season.
