Re: Hamilton vs rosberg. Part 265
Can we all agree that Hamilton was ahead on corner entry with rosbergs half a car back but on the inside. This is the difference between when Hamilton has closed the door on Nico and Nicos bad attempt on Sunday. Nicos only choice to successfully pull off closing the door in that scenario is to take ...

Re: Hamilton vs rosberg. Part 265
The difference for those saying Hamilton usually does it to Rosberg is that when Lewis forces Nico wide he's always ahead to start with. This time Nico was behind and on the inside and that's why it didn't work.

No second contact, that's just where Rosberg wing gives way when the g force comes onto the front wing. The spark is just floor.

Re: Driver(s) of the Day - 2016 Monaco Grand Prix
People saying ham was lucky are deluded. Because of the nature of Monaco and his team mates pace he had to catch a 13 second gap and then overtake where overtaking is nearly impossible so his only option was strategy. He chose to ignore the inters as this gave him track position and as everyone alwa...

Re: Monaco: Hamilton OUT and Wehrlein IN?
What is apparent now is that Hamilton cant test at all due to them using pascal, during testing the Mercedes facebook group even stated that Lewis would be testing at Silverstone as it makes sense for his fans etc when people where moaning about Nico favouritism. But no testing at all unless they ca...

If anything this was to test Werhlein against Nicos performance at the sa...

Rosbergs moved from the racing line to the middle and then moved again to the inside edge once Lewis had thrown it down the inside. If you see in rosbergs cockpit you see 2 chucks at the steering wheel.

Re: Bit confused on different 2017 opinions
the only thing that makes overtaking difficult is not being able to follow cars closely in corners due to aero so when you get on a straight your not close enough to effect a pass or even an attempt depending on straight length. Adding more aero is the wrong idea. They should just force a wider tyre...

Wow lots of arguments about the starts why not just rewatch it and see who had the better start from the in car perspective. You also got to take into account that they moved some of Hamiltons engineers into rosbergs team and vice versa. Unfortunately for Lewis he seems to of picked up the duds from Nicos team while nico has inherited some good engineers.

Re: Official Australian GP Thread
it was a different set of ss tyres but I think they where a scrubbed set as they only took 2 sets with them.
it was massively the wrong call to think Ferrari could pull a 25 second gap on the Mercedes especially as the pace difference would need to be 2-3 seconds a lap before the ss went off.

An engine focused f1 is the right way to go as the benefits from technology discovered can be applied in some way to everyday cars while ...

I think the OP means not just strategy in the race, but the better internal team, better parts for the car, similar as when Sebastian got the wing from Webber. That whole not bad for a number 2, Webber always felt Sebastian had better treatment than he did.
