Re: Vettel / Verstappen / Raikkonen Clash! Who to blame?
Seb and Kimi are actually lucky that Verstappen was there. If he wasn't, I reckon the Ferrari's would have taken each other out anyway looking at the footage - and that one would have been even harder to explain to the bosses. That's a strange kind of "lucky"! :D Do you really believe that the most...

Re: So is that that for the title battle?
Hamilton has come out the blocks since the summer break looking refreshed and full of confidence. Singapore was going to be damage limitation, but instead that wave of victory has continued. Yes, a Lewis DNF does bring Seb right back into it, but it's going to take a monumental effort from Ferrari t...

Re: 2017 Singapore Grand Prix Race Thread
The risk factor was huge (as proven by the outcome) - on a damp track, where a wet race has never taken place so no references. Seb got a bad launch so instantly he should have taken more care than to try the chop off. I'm calling it a racing incident as it was a first corner shunt, but I do feel th...

Re: Ferrari/Mercedes has the faster car? (post barcelona &
Overall, Merc have had the "faster" car all season, but the FIA's plan worked nicely by banning (the suspension I think it was?) they were running right at the start of the season, giving a better title battle. I think Merc have now got their head around that, and will only get stronger through the ...

I'm saying in that respect you can make the same case for any 30+ driver , It's strange how Hamilton is the only driver in this age range that people think might retire soon especially when he's not even given a hint that he is considering it. Then in that case I guess all the talk I hear about how...

I reckon that Lewis knew in his heart of hearts that he was never going to get past Kimi without an error from him. Personally, I think that he wanted to show the team, and his team mate how much faster he was - pure and simple (and he was a lot faster). He did the right thing and gave the place bac...

I'd like to see the final couple of corners re-profiled, to allow for different lines out of the final corner.

If i were them, I'd go for someone who isn't perceived as a threat ( to Vettel ) but could be. I'm talking Hulkenberg, Perez or even Sainz would be a good option. Unfortunately, it seems that Kimi is perfect for Ferrari's needs, as the pairing suits Vettel to the ground- and I can't say I blame him (not that I'm a fan of Seb) They would take the WDC over the WCC any day... They would also take both over one any day. Ferrari needs a driver who doesn't challen...

Fanboost annoys me - way too fake.
I'm still unsure on FE - I've got it on series link on my sky box, but rarely actually watch them.
The street circuit nature puts me off a lot, it really restricts a lot of the overtaking ability.

I could be wrong, but isn't a 10 second stop-go the most severe penalty that can be given out behind only disqualification? I think the current points allocation works well as it is.
Look back at when there were more cars on the grid, but only the top 6 scored.
Reliability being what it is now does play a huge part, but it does lead to some good scraps for P9 or P10 these days.

I'm sure that Martin Brundle said (a couple of years back I think) that at that point, Vettel had never won a race in either June or July (can't remember which of the two it was).

He did OK in GP2, and deserved 1 year in F1.
I was surprised he got a second year - maybe there were no better options available?
If it was down to me he'd be long gone - he seems out of his depth in F1.
Personally, I'd like to see Alonso go back there.

But to be fair, he's taking in so much information (not just on screen), processing that and then deciding which information to give out.
I've always been a fan of Brundle - he's relatively impartial, tells it how it is, and I enjoy his sense of humor.
