Re: The Summer Break Uber Quiz Free-for-All thread
Ok another one. 8) Niki Lauda and Denny Hulme are the only drivers to achieve something in modern F1 (1950 - onwards) that nowdays I frankly consider next to impossible. Can you tell me what it is? Well, looking at Hulme's achievements one thing struck me, in that he has only obtained a single pole...

Re: The Summer Break Uber Quiz Free-for-All thread
It seems we have lost a few posts 8O Anyhow Guia and Laura23 have both guessed part of the riddle...all members of the list are WDC on leap years. But it is also true that some drivers who also won on leap years are not on the list so something is missing. The pattern is pretty obvious so it should...

Re: Official MotoGP thread
Marquez is dominating the top flight series in a way that no one has ever dominated a top flight series. No one in the history of MotoGP, F1 or WRC has ever been so untouchable over a season. I literally think that the only way he could lose right now is if he fell off of the bike. It's crazy and I...

Re: Official MotoGP thread
Why is he going to enter the Moto2 race? I don't think he will even get to 15 wins, something always strikes out of the blue. Having said that Motogp makes F1 seem more of an endurance category with many more random variables. Other a course of a season a driver will get caught out by reliability, ...

Well...it seems it's going to be 10 in a row... This kid is going to break all kind of records if he keeps this up. Looks like 18 in a row to me. He is amazing, it was a great race until he got on front. There is a rumour that he is going to enter as a wildcard in Moto3 and Moto2 in Valencia and go...

Re: Official MotoGP thread
Interesting coincidence: Marc's victory is n°500 for a spanish rider in all categories and n°100 in motoGP/500
Neat numbers :p
And Valentino is the first rider to reach 4000 points.

Ok, here goes another one. In the history of modern F1 (1950 - 2013), what links the following and only the following drivers: John Surtees Graham Hill James Hunt Alan Jones Niki Lauda Nigel Mansell Damon Hill Michael Schumacher Lewis Hamilton This is beyond hard. Any clues? I.e team-mates/year of ...

Re: Tony Stewart kills driver in accident
That is simply unbelievable. The sad part about it is that the management of some of these sporting events seem to encourage this kind of attitude as it's "good" for the show (NASCAR). I won't get into what went through Stewart's head and if he intended to give Ward a scare or not (I simply won't be...

Ok, what links the following three: J. Villeneuve G. Brabham B. Ecclestone Note: more people can be linked to these three for the same reason but for sake of brevity I'll keep it in these more illustrious members. Entered two F1 races, never made a start. Jesus you guys are fast. Answer is correct,...

Re: Gaza
Maybe so, but someone needs to step up and act... Rather than the constant 'We condemn everything' that's being thrown about. Sadly the UN can't do anything because any resolution against Israel is immediately and automatically vetoed by USA. The UN is deeply flawed, I understand that giving certai...
