Looking forward to this! Hopefully I'm still awake after getting up for Melbourne quali.

Hoping for a good result for Sam Bird. I've always been a fan and think he's a quick driver but never quite seems to have cracked it, always just missing out :(

Re: Van der Garde vs Sauber

My understanding is that VDG's entitlement to drive for Sauber in 2015 was determined by a Swiss court. However, a judgement of the courts of one country is not usually automatically enforceable in another country. Accordingly, VDG brought legal proceedings in Australia in order to obtain the autho...

Would it be a crazy idea if Bernie allowed them to share 2 drives between 3 drivers, just so this mess doesn't get worse? Some sort of seat-sharing arrangement? Anything else just makes it worse. It's certainly happened before - I remember Brundle and Suzuki sharing a seat at Ligier in 1995 (well, ...

Re: The most overrated car of all time?

I think the RB7 is woefully under rated. The car was a beast in clean air. But why couldn't Webber -a proven race winner with RB5 and RB6- win a race with it UNTIL the last race? I guess Webber was not any worse than Barrichello. He just never got to grips with the Pirellis. He had a decemt first h...

Not really surprising, the swiss have already ruled in his favour, the Aussies didn't really have a reason not to. Can't see Nasr getting the boot because of his sponsorship, I look forward to some tasty Ericsson flavoured press releases.

Here's a suggestion, Sauber to run a third car for VDG... Or perhaps pay Manor to run one of Nasr, Ericksson or VDG... You know it makes sense  puts up hoody, ducks and runs for cover Putting Ericsson in the Manor and letting VDG and Nasr race the Sauber seems like a sensible solution for ever...

Yes - Bruno Senna is Ayrton's nephew and Nicolas Prost is Alain's son.

Unless that was a comment on the standard of their driving compared to their more famous relatives, in which case you can probably hear the whooooosh of it going over my head.

I am always glad to see smaller teams compete, and I hope they do make a sucess of it. It's interesting that the new system will keep out the future Stevens, Ericsson's, van der Garde's, Chilton's, Pic's and d'Ambrosio's so it's not so bad.
