"Non executive" mean not in charge. That's Lauda. "Executive" means you are in charge. That's Toto. To add to the mix though, Nikki has been the arch politician througout his career, as befits a chairman of a board of directors. Good thinking, pity that you've got flamed for a little out of the box thinking. A quadruple world champion should surely have been able to hold up Perez without driving slow enough to get mugged on the straight. If the boot were on the other foot it would have happened but it was never an option to...

Kudos to Nico for being a team player and to Lewis for acknowledging the help he got but I think if a similar situation arises where the roles are reversed Lewis will not be so fast to take one for the team. Coulthard relates that when at McLaren, he and Hakkinnen always had equal machinery and but Ron was always more focussed on the best strategy for Mika and this showed up especially clearly in the pre-race plan and the post-race debrief. Wolffe says maybe something wrong with the car. I'm betting Nico had a better dry setup than Lewis, who combined a better setup for mixed conditions with supreme wet weather skill. Contrast that with Vestappen who, starting from the pit lane, would probably have been on a full wet setup hence the re...

It's not going to happen. If Verstappen were favoured, Daniel would be off to Ferarri where he will whup Vettel again. Here's how it is: McLaren have a sole supply deal with Honda which is a legally enforcable contract. If push came to shove and Ron dug his heels in, the only option would b...

It's the law of unintended consequences. Bernie says engine costs must fall, because in the end he'd be happy to see everyone racing with a tonking great V12 with a row of carburettors on the top.
