Perez might have had damage, which apparently occurred when he was passing Alonso, but he wasn't exactly quick before that.

Re: 2024 Australian Grand Prix Race Thread
I just think they are inconsistent with what they give out. I think he should get a time penalty, but not 20 seconds. 20 second penalty for Alonso. Drops to P8. Wow, that's a far more major penalty than has been handed out recently. The stewards said: 'This season, the FIA Formula 1 penalty guideli...

Is there a chance of a genuine race for the win this weekend? I haven't followed the weekend too closely, how was the race pace comparisons between Ferrari and Red Bull on Friday? Ferrari looked very strong on race pace but Red Bull were compromised. It's difficult to overtake here. If Sainz actual...

Has Hamilton ever been out qualified by his teammate 5 times in a row before? I think Rosberg outqualified Hamilton seven times in a row in 2014 but with some extenuating circumstances: - Monaco (did Rosberg deliberately cause a yellow? - Canada - Austria (both messed up Q3, but Rosberg set a lap) ...

If Williams can't get a chassis to the GP in 3 days time that probably means they don't have a spare one period? Wow, even Haas going thru Grosjean, Mazepin and Mick has not had a DNS since 2016. Thinking about why the races in Australia since 2014 have all been pretty dull spectacles. Are the cars now too big for the circuit, or is it the rules of how the cars work? I'm unsure on the second point, because we've raced under three broad regulation sets since 2014, and the races have all been ...

This is from msn.com: On Thursday at Albert Park, the Spaniard is due for the FIA’s mandatory medical evaluations, which include a crucial driver extraction exercise. Your favourite Australian Grand Prix
The Australian Grand Prix has been an almost ever present on the F1 calendar for nearly 40 years now. From 1985-1995 the race was held in Adelaide and since 1996, the Albert Park street circuit in Melbourne has been host to the race. As it has often hosted the first race of the season, there will be...

I seem to remember several on here defending Vettel at the time of the Baku incident with Hamilton (which was 2017 btw). Boggles the mind and for the most part he was excellent in 2017.
He only really started his consistent mistakes/crashing in 2018.
