You can't prove a brake test. I brake test requires intent. Hamilton braking does not prove a brake test. All it proves is that he braked. Nothing more, nothing less. Impossible to prove if the reason for that was brake testing Vettel or slowing down for the safety car restart or warming brakes etc...

Did Ferrari take out a bit too much down force to chase top speed. Merc was so much faster in the first sector and on corner exit. Either that or merc made a massive improvement since Monaco. Does not look good for ferrari for their usual race tire conservation advantage that they had in the past.

I dont think its a failure. Despite no overtaking it was tense. I wanted ferrari to win but the tension that was created by both drivers being able to push without tires falling off the cliff made it a winner. The cars look incredible too.
