Re: Should Maldonado have settled for 6th?
He should have settled for 6th. ........I always thought this, before he even crashed. Its a difficult place to pass even with DRS. Its a street track with not much run off. If this was a race track i would say go for 5th Their tyres were also getting old. He was going up against one of the best dri...

Re: New safety car rules.
Maybe just make lapped cars fall to the back of the grid by making them line up at an escape road, and rejoin after lead cars have passed. Then credit them with a lap there after it needs be. If there is no escape road then use the pit lane.
This will shorten the safty car period.

We get Live BBC commentary in HD via a paid satalite provider. The commentary is much better without Brundle. Its more proffessional and less opinionated. In the words of Senna and later Lewis " you make your own luck" and Vettel did just that today.

Re: Australia - Fastest Laps Averaged over Race Distance Gra
Its a very deceiving graph and analysis. The problem is that you put them into descrete catogories, i.e. fastest, 2nd fastest etc for each particular lap A driver could be 4th fastest but only one tenth slower than fastest. On the other hand a driver could be 4th fastest but 1 sec slower than fastes...

Merc quali pace is down to clever wings when they can use DRS at will. Race pace is same as last year. Red Bull has second fastest race pace. Makes for interesting races though with Merc and maybe Lotus separating Maclarens in the front and Rebd bulls behind. They may even qualify ahead of Maclaren

Yeah right. A Mclaren car wins by a small margin and it automatically becomes the dominant car of 2012? Lol. And qualy is only a part of the pack. It does not reflect the race pace of the car. Lol. you really did not watch the race. Gap was small at the end because of the SC. Button pulled away eas...

I still think he hasn't proven enough - No offense to anyone, but beating Webber is no incredible feat - Nick Heidfeld pretty much edged Webber when both were at Williams. I think Ferrari need to get their act together before thay can critisise Massa The car is a dog that is almost always sideways so it will burn tyers. Close between vettel and Alonso. They both brought slower cars up the grid. Buttion drove a flawless race and i expected him to win in a dominant macca. But this one goes to Alonso for me. He had that car on the limit sideways lap after lap.

Gravel traps spoils races. I dont like it. Whatever they use a driver should be punished but still be able to rejoin rather than beaching it. Its the same reason why DRS is good, because faster cars/drivers likely hood of spoilt races is less because there is more chance to overtake.

They are a joke and should be relegated to Gp2. If they were not blocking all the time teams would have been more sympathetic. On the other hand if they had what it takes to be in F1 they would have not found themselves being caught by cars so quickly.

Its reminisent of Senna's Williams. They dont understand why its unstable. And Alonso is having to push it to dangerous limits to be competitive. Not bad for Alonso to finish 12th with only 1fyling lap in Q2
Good thing is that nowdays crash integrity of cars are better.

Kyalami South Africa is about 1600m above sea level.
I think they last had a grand prix there in 93. Though they did test there last in 2001
When they go turbo the power effect will be less than normally aspirated.
Aero will still be effected, though drag will be less, and fuel consumption lower.

You dont just talk to someone you just met about his mother.
Even if he was Vijay's "literal" brother he would have still given the same confused look to Eddie. This was made worse by the language barrier, which Eddie should also been aware off.

You will just never win with the haters.
In 2010 Vettel was undeserving for not exploiting the "fastest car".
In 2011 Vettel was undeserving as he had the "fastest car" because he exploited it.
This is the insane extent that fan boys will go to in order to rationalize the driver they support.

If you cannot afford to be in f1 you should not be there. Marussia and HRT are going to be a joke again this year with them failing to test. Rather force entrants to temporarily merge with a bottom/midfield team (they must negotiate with which teams they want and terms) before they can get an indivi...

Remove the time cap on how much Kers can be used per lap. Pointless carrying around weight if you cannot exploit it. They can limit the max weight of the unit itself. If anything it seems that they are trying to cover up/downplay how bad the car really is while they find solutions to the problems.
