Re: Leclerc, Verstappen, Russell - Where is Norris?
:( Hoping France was just a blip.... In my opinion the pressure on Leclerc, if it ever was the reason of his French GP blunder, is not coming from "the stress of a potential WDC", but from the "stress of having to make do with all the points evaporated because of Ferrari's management"... Fair point...

Russell and Norris are I think at a very similar level - and always have been. Where they are in relation to the "big 3" I don't know. For me, Max and Lewis are still out front because they have proven this time and time again - there are no question marks. Leclerc this year is starting to do the s...

Re: Is Leclerc dropping the ball?
The races Leclerc didn't finish by his own fault at the place he should have reached (Imola 6th instead of 3rd or 2nd, France DNF instead of 2nd or 1st) are not enough to consider he is "dropping the ball". All the other points lost are attributable to Ferrari (stupid strategies and engine failures)...

As I don't think the "real" future of terrestrial-vehicles-with-wheels is the kind of electric vehicles we currently name electric cars (from Zoe to Tesla and FE racers, they all use the same dead-end technology), I'm sure some one will come with something more intelligent before 2039.

The difficulty with this comparison is that we have no absolute benchmark for DeAngelis. Maybe 85 vs Senna is worth going into.. Over the season it was quite close, only 5pts and 1 win more to Senna, although he had more retirements.. DeAngelis was more consistent, but seldom a potential winner. Po...

If the purpose is to reduce the number of tyres used at each race, they could start with asking for tyres that last, and reduce the change of tyres to just one by race (if not banning it). And only one set of tyres for the 3 stints of qualies.

As usual, as long as nothing really ugly happens nothing will be done. My idea of imposing measured limits to the porpoising is that the ones already under these limits won't have to modify their cars, so only the pupils who failed their homeworks would be punished. And the ones who got theirs right...

If he had stuffed with hay his seat rather than his stomach, he'd sure feel less pain.
But it wouldn't be allowed by rules, while putting some in a cup of boiling water is not only allowed, but mandatory to any British national. I guess it makes the hay dilemna an easy one to solve.

Previous "ground effect cars" were not porpoising that much but : - Cars were shorter and smaller with a shorter wheel base. - Cars had not such a long nose out of plumb ("porte-à-faux" in French, I hope my English is correct), trimmed with ridiculous oversized front wings to boot. - Drivers were no...
