Re: Like those new wheels, do you?
I can think of many reasons why I might not like them, and "they remind me of a spare tire[sic]" isn't among them. Tire is the correct spelling in American English, and I believe Canada as well. Tyre is used in the UK and Australia. Even though I am English, I saw tire used so many times so I went ...

Re: BREAKING NEWS... Michael Masi Removed As Race Director
It saddens me to see the exultant response to Masi's demise. Hamilton has 40 million reasons to drive this season, 7 WDC's to compensate him as well as the respect of all his peers as the best driver of his generation. In the great scheme of things he's lost nothing! Spare athought for the guy whos...

Re: Abu Dhabi 2021 - How has it left you feeling?
. 1: There was NOTHING in the rules/regulations that allowed Masi to allow ONLY those lapped cars between Hamilton and Verstappen to unlap themselves. By doing so the F1 championship was fiddled, and the probable likely winner, Hamilton, was robbed of the title. (IN ADDITION, and now mostly forgott...

On the talk of the undercut, will that work here with the issues teams are having warming the tyres up? Maybe not a huge problem for Red Bull compared to others. On the possible gearbox change. I didn’t think that it looked that big an impact for Verstappen so my initial instinct is that the gearbo...

The more I watch the onboard the more I think Max's only real mistake was to actually go as far as running right off the track. If he'd still done the late-brake and reduced steering angle, forced Lewis to back out but managed to stay within track limits himself I think it would have been OK. Also ...

Re: Will Hamilton reach his century of wins in 2021?
100 wins is a hell of an achievement. I don't think we'll see it again as long as we stay in the 20-25 races a season ballpark given the direction of the sport. I think that Max can do it. Next season will tell us if Max can do it or not. It all depends on RB nailing the new formula and having a si...

Re: Hamilton/Verstappen Italian GP 2021 Collision Discussion / Poll
Both incidents are predominantly Hamilton’s fault. Verstappen got a penalty for Monza because the stewards felt that it would be more “fair” after they gave Hamilton a penalty for Silverstone. I know the stewarding is confusing and erratic but to suggest penalties are handed out with no regard to t...

Re: Hamilton/Verstappen Italian GP 2021 Collision Discussion / Poll
Seems to me that F1 drivers tolerated dives by Vesrtappen and to a certain extend Ricciardo and Kvyat whilst they were new to F1. Those drivers have now matured or moved on. Problem now is that MV still expects cars to dive way or give room when none is available. Hamilton has the experience, car an...

The crowd at Monza was so small they made a 15m Euro loss on the event. Liberty has said the race's future isn't secure. Mikeyg123 do you agree that MV has a bad and quick temper and 'gets the red mist' as evidenced by his language and behaviour?
Do you think this trait is potentially dangerous for an F1 driver?

Re: One of these days a pair of title rivals will kill one another
Verstappen saw red mist yesterday. While I still think it was a racing incident, Verstappen's 'pass or crash' ultimatum shows he can't control his emotions. We've seen him bail out a sum total of one time this season at Portugal when Hamilton squeezed him on the exit. Hamilton has been far more for...

Isn't it time that an element of standardisation was applied as a basic requirement for a GP? Finally some explicit confirmation that the Red Bull cars have been developed with Max's ability to cope with instability in corners.
