Re: The Official 2012 Pre-season Testing Thread

Ferrari really didn't impress today...: http://abulafiaf1.wordpress.com/2012/03/02/barcelona-testing-02-march-2012-day-6/ ... Hello , Have you got inside information to suggest they didn't impress? Such as the exact fuel loads, brake duct, rpm, weight ballast (If any) that all of those teams had to...

Re: Lotus thread

I think the most optimistic guy at this point would say they are the best team after Red Bull and McLaren and the pessimistic that they are outside top 4. So it is looking quite good. I think pessimist would say they would be behind fore 6th best behind force India, the realist would say 4th or 5th...

Kimi in Top Gear

Of all the drivers he was the last one I ever imagined being in Top Gear. And with Slash, lol.

This clearly deserves its own thread. In fact, I wouldn't mind it getting stickied as well.

Re: Team Fan or Driver Fan?

It strikes me a bit weird if someone just follows the sport because of a certain driver. I'm a Kimi fan and it seems like many fellow fans ditched F1 to WRC when he left and now that he's back they've ditched WRC.

I honestly don't care about the teams.

Re: 100 Thing you learnt during the 2011 F1 Season

45. Even if you win 11 races and get 14 poles you are still doomed average despite your teammate barely managing 3rd place in the overall standings.

Re: Patrese: Schumacher a different driver now

I think if the mercedes car is up to the task this year, you,ll see the killer instinct of the old Schumi back! The old Schumacher is long gone. Anyone who thinks is just the car is vastly, vastly underestimating the man. It also shows how his return has hurt his reputation. The Schumacher in the 9...

Re: Friendships in F1

"Normal" people don't usually grasp the concept of being very competitive, which I see most professional athletes be. For many it's ok just to have fun and results don't really matter. I mean that's what they teach the kids in every place these days. They don't really understand why being best and b...

Why can't there be more sections in this forum?

It's just a mess of different topics when everything is in the same section. We have favourite driver topics, favourite teams and everything related to motorsports in one place! Surely with this new forum we will be getting more subcategories? Even this SUGGESTION has to be put in off topic. Everywh...

Re: Why do people complain Lewis started his career with McL

Hamilton made ALOT of mistakes in 2007/2008 and still does. Which means he hasnt learnt to drive yet still. He should have started off in team similar to Sauber (2001), Minardi (2001) or Jordan (1992). He would have learned there how to drive, instead of for example hitting the car infront on pit l...

Re: Why do people complain Lewis started his career with McL

I think he comes as arrogant many times and when you combine this to starting straight from the top it just makes him an easy target for hate. He has had had a crappy car once and even that year McLaren managed to turn it to a winner. If you compare that to likes of Häkkinen or Button, you can see w...

Hard or not, they obviously don't have the money and gear to compete in the series. It's embarrassing to see them in the grid.

Re: If Senna didnt die, would he have won the WDC in 1994?

If Schumacher still had those 2 DQ's and 2 missing races, then yes, Senna would have been a champ in 1994 imo.
