I feel that there should be a clock permanently on display to the players and crowd during a game and that the remaining time may be adjusted and the clock may be stopped (rather than adding time or reaching the 90 mins and playing more at the end). It just seems that there is far too much room for...

Motor racing is a dangerous sport. It says so on the ticket... You do dangerous stuff, you might get hurt. It's tragic, it's terrible, but it's part of the game. This is the litigious world we live in and it leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. Exactly. You look at Monaco, so quick people wanted "no ...

Engine Combustion

Interesting article in Motor Sport Magazine: http://www.motorsportmagazine.com/f1/f1s-power-secret/ Seems most F1 engines use a combination of compression ignition - like diesels - and conventional spark plug ignition. Was anyone else aware of this? Some diagrams to go with the article would have he...

I'm sure I saw it in the max mosley bio that there is a clause in the contract that if the commercial rights holder fails in his duty. It will automatically go back to the fia. I think there was the same agreement in the wrc commercial rights when dave Richards handed back and the new commercial ri...

I've seen a few people mention in both this thread and the quali thread thread that Bernie is driving the value of formula 1 down.  It's a risky move too drive the value down. But is he trying to give commercial rights back to the fia by allowing the fia to buy the rights back to gain overall contr...

Apparently, at the Manchester City game this afternoon (Craig was a lifelong City fan) the crowd had a round of applause at the five minute mark, in memory of the band.

Very sad. RIP to all of them.

i wonder who is the best qualifier then? We've seen Rosberg beat Hamilton plenty of times in qualifying. Vettel got soundly beaten by Ricciardo in qualifying last year.
