Re: 2015 Hungarian GP Race Thread

Rosberg got lambasted at Spa for doing to Hamilton exactly what Ricciardo did to Rosberg today. No, there's a difference. In Spa there was a corner, today they were exciting on a straight. Another difference was that Rosberg in the corner knew Hamilton was there, yet he still turned into him. Where...

Re: Driver(s) of the Day - 2015 Hungarian Grand Prix

I thought Kvyat had a fairly poor race. I agree, everything fell into place for Kyvat. Hulk crashed ahead of him, Bottas had a puncture, the Mercs tried to take Ricciardo out and themselves in the first corner, he was 40 seconds behind Ricciardo halfway through the race and despite the front 3 figh...

Re: 2015 Hungarian GP Race Thread

Ricciardo couldn't have known that Rosberg was going to cut across like that. By that time it was too late for lifting off. He's not clairvoyant. I believe he could, sweeping across like that is something that many drivers would do in that situation, to protect the position. The problem in that mom...

Re: 2015 Hungarian GP Race Thread

I don't know how people can think that was Ricciardo's fault vs Rosberg, sure he overshot his overtaking attempt but his car was pretty much the same place where he was vs Hamilton and on the edge of the track. Rosberg cut in front, simple as, if Rosberg had stayed on the inside a little more it wou...

First pick would be Ricciardo for 2016 but he seems locked down with RBR and even if he wasn't, would Ferrari upset the applecart with their two drivers? As for people who didn't see anything in Ricciardo when he was at TR, well you didn't look hard enough. Not to mention RBR have all the data in th...

Surprised RBR didn't sign him on for longer too. Either way, I think we'd all like a Ricciardo vs Hamilton or Ricciardo vs Alonso (assuming the car is capable of wins/podiums) as a H2H. It would give us all a better idea of his abilities on top of what he did against Seb. I was surprised that RBR si...

Playing devil's advocate here because so many people seem to be just posting based on emotion more than anything else and their hatred of Horner and co. and RBR as a team over the years. As an owner, you are spending a few hundred mil a year supporting two teams in F1 plus hosting an F1 race. Where ...

I wouldn't come to a conclusion on DR's talent based on one race. He has already shown what he can do over a season and even against Vergne - just that no one paid attention to this team mate battle until he got the RBR seat. You are basing DR on a race where he had front wing damage to contend with...

I'm surprised RBR didn't move Key to their "first" team in 2015 given the fact that Newey is leaving. I'll be the devils advocate here but you can't really compare Red Bulls dominance against Mercedes dominance. When you think McLaren-Honda you think of the old white/red livery. Then again... They had the specific Marlboro red & white livery since 1982 (not to mention they were already running red & white for years) and up to 1996. Of those 15 seasons, only 5 were with Honda, 4.5 with Porsche, 1.5 with Cos...

They are behind merc because they had to build a car and put an engine in it, rather than building an engine around a car like Mercedes.
