Re: Force India goes into Administration!
2. An American consortium involving Indycar team owner Michael Andretti and Pieter Rossi, the father of former F1 driver Alexander Rossi, who now races for Andretti. This would be by far the best option, IMO, if Force India has to go under. Getting the Andretti name back on the F1 grid under a comp...

Re: Silly Season 2019
With Ocon possibly coming free with the FI fiasco it’ll be easier for Renault to pick him up if they want to. If that’s the case and Haas decides to drop Grosjean (I’m not convinced they will) I’d rather see Sainz take that seat than Perez. Between the way Perez races his team mates and the way Eri...

Re: James Key to join McLaren as technical director
Technical director doesn’t necessarily mean that he’s going to pick up a pen and design the car. Being able to manage the technical staff in the various departments and getting them rowing in the same direction is important and that doesn’t require the manager to know everyone’s job as well they do....

They actually do destroy unused tires after a certain amount of time. I can’t remember where I read/heard it but it basically comes down to a matter of the materials degrading over time and not being able to guarantee performance after awhile. It probably happens to an extent with normal road tires ...

Hope he recovers well. Sounds like he picked up some sort of sepsis after shoulder surgery.
Manley on paper is a good pick to pick up the reigns at FCA. Haven’t heard anything about the guy who’s taking over Ferrari other than he’s another that also worked at Phillip-Morris at some point in the past.

The gap between Ericsson and Leclerc seems to be growing over the season. 0.8 today on a very short track. Ericsson can't be back in that car next year surely. One thing that’s working in Hulks favor is next years rule change where it’s driver+seat weight instead of driver alone which helps a taller driver like him.

Nice one Exediron. I was thinking along the same lines. Phase 1: 2 years learning the ropes and paying my dues at Sauber. Phase 2: Move on to Haas where I hone my racing skills in the midfield. Phase 3: I don’t have to change teams because between great development and my driving Haas is the team to...

While I don’t have a problem with the current system it does have a big flaw in how it determines who finishes ahead when there are more than 1 teams that finish the year with no points. Of course Sauber is much better this year. They have a current PU instead of the previous years model. Haas is going to be better just with another season under their belt to develop their car more. I disagree, quite strongly! Red Bull have shown that they are always there, or thereabouts. It's pretty clear that the main thing holding them back has been their PU, but chassis-wise they have a top-performer. Renault have the funding, but there again so do McLaren, and look where that funding has...

They wouldn’t need an Alonso caliber driver to be ahead of Renault right now, just a second Magnussen. RoGro has thrown away enough points with his unforced error in Baku and at least one other occasion this year.
