Re: Austn COTA Tower Observation Deck
I'm sure there will be security staff to prevent blatant abuse such as throwing. I love it personally! What a great view. I'd love to watch the race from there!

Re: Will Webber be on podium in Texas?
If the rumours are true - no. He (Webber) may be starting from the back of the grid for missing his weigh in. Just saw this also. I guess this is further proof of my inability to predict race results. If he does get sent to the back, he's done. It sure would be interesting to see how Mark does from...

Will Webber be on podium in Texas?
I'm a fan of Webber but last week was a disaster for him and I was thinking about the pressure he must be under to perform this weekend. Mark sometimes seems to react to pressure with a good showing like his famous "how was that from the #2 driver performance." The RB's certainly seem to have the pa...

Re: Nascar Sprint Cup mayhem.
Being a huge NASCAR fan, Gordon and Bowyer have had several on-track incidents this year, most of which ended up with Gordon getting the worst end of the deal. He was just fed up, but clearly overreacted. NASCAR race control then butchered the finish because they left the green flag out with a bunc...

Re: Worst Driver of the day?
Voted for Webber. As for Rosberg and Karthikeyan's case. Its hard to call. Karthikeyan's car suddenly slowed down and halted and of course with a tailing Rosberg, he cound not react on time this it wasn't Rosberg fault at al. I agree and don't think Nico had a chance. Racing incident for sure. Luck...

Got to say I'm amazed at the reaction on this thread. Even Mary Whitehouse wouldn't got this worked up. Chill the fudge out! I think the reaction is just plain discussion, not a big fuss. Re: Swearing on the podium
Do any of you know if driver contracts have stipulations for public behaviour? I am pretty sure they do in hockey and nascar but don't know about F1. (Since they've added them in Nascar the sport has suffered in my opinion as there are no more strong driver personalities - mostly white bread now sad...

Re: Swearing on the podium
I don't think there's any need to over-react. Such things happen on live TV sometimes. The drivers will be given a reminder not to do it next time, and that's all there is to it. What you say is very sensible, and I admit that is what I'd like to see. But, I wonder who pulls the strings about this....

Re: Swearing on the podium
The FIA has to do something in response to appease advertisers and TV networks. Yes I know I can hear the same language on television every day, but those are usually private programs. I think the lads are going to get a reprimand, probably financial.

I voted Hamilton for the same reasons as hamilonsomacher. That's considering if it was a qualy lap. If it was a race lap, I'd be unable to pick between Vettel and Hamilton.

Re: Great race Seb!!! Your on your way to a 3rd consecutive
He drove brilliant really. But it's still a long way to go to the title. Ferrari / Alonso are very close and they still have a real chance at the championship. Redbull cars needs to be bulletproof from a reliability point of view and Vettel keep on winning. As Grosjean took out Alonso, someone or s...

Emotionally I'm with you all the way. I'd love to see Schumi on the podium! But my head says "I don't think he can pull it off and why would Sauber take the chance?"
It's interesting to see how Kimi has done since he rejoined vs how Michael has done. It it just the car?

Great thread!
I'm amazed by all of this technology. How do they respond to the disruption to air caused being in traffic vs open track? Doesn't all this planning and work become undermined by the "dirty air" or do they run different settings in traffic?

I do feel badly for him, but my patience has run out. There's too much consistency for his incidents to just be bad luck. I think Lotus will look after this for us by giving his drive to someone else next year.

Thanks for the info re: the stewards. I recorded the race and have replayed the start over and over and really can't see what happened to Nico. Re: Grosjean's stop-go vs. Senna's drive-through
Didn't Rosberg say during an interview during the race that he was hit while taking avoiding action from the Grosjean/Webber incident? IF that was the case then Senna's penalty should not be as severe because it was all trying to avoid the turn 2 carnage and was just unlucky. That's quite a good po...

Re: Long summer break, get rid of it!
Personally I think a break is a good idea but always wondered if it would be better to fit a number of races in to the summer period because it is often a time where more people are able to holiday and could visit more flyaway races. Yeah but if it's summer here it's winter on the other side of the...
